Perino I believe in justice, and I believe in people being held responsible for their actions A reading from the Gospel of St. Luke: If someone takes your coat, let her have your shirt as well. Give everyone who asks for something, and when someone takes what is yours, do not ask for it back. Do for others just what you want them to do for you. Lend your things to others and expect nothing back. Love your enemies and be good to them. Then you will be truly blessed as children of God. If we expect others to rely on our fairness and justice we must show that we rely on their fairness and justice. This edition has been published by our Newsletter Committee: Sean M. and Erika C. Forgiveness Assembly Students of the Month for February This month s virtue is Forgiveness. On March 31st, we had our monthly virtue assembly on Forgiveness. We heard the true meaning of what it means to forgive and to love. Thanks to Ms. Trabucco s Grade 3/4 and Ms. Mastroianni s Gr. 1/2 classes for organizing a very inspiring assembly. The Apology Song stressed that when we forgive we let Love live. Earth Rangers Students of The Month for March The following students were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating the virtue of forgiveness in March: Niamh A, Charlie L, Agnes L, Joshua S, Aaron T, Albert S, Ella C, Christian L, Lauren L, Juan M, Blessing M, Micaela L, Shamoir I, Ethan N, Andrew M, Roxanne T, Darius K, Adam C and Alex K. On Wednesday, March 2, 2016 the Earth Rangers came to our school, to teach us about endangered species all around Canada. They showed us a variety of animals, such as the skunk, the Peregrine Falcon, and a snake. We learned a lot from the presenters. We would like to thank Ms. Lawrence for organizing the event. Congratulations to Lauren L. and Joshua S. who were the recipients of the virtue medal for forgiveness. Both students continually demonstrate the virtue of forgiveness throughout the school. 2

At this meeting the challenge was to build a catapult out of ONLY popsicle sticks, elastic bands, and well as tape. We had to fire a marshmallow, sadly, we lost. But it was all in good fun!! We had some great guest speakers at this event. Andrew Westink talked about The Leader In Me and DJ Mills showed us the connection between music and math. Mike Consul gave us an inspirational quote on Forgiveness. When one does not forgive, it leaves a huge burden on your shoulder. He asked us what sin Jesus will not forgive. We were very curious and gave answers like killing and changing one s religion. But the answer was simple, but very powerful. The one thing Jesus will not forgive is if you are not willing to ask for forgiveness. To celebrate Holy Week the SK/Grade 1 class dyed Easter eggs, made Holy Week booklets, and baked Easter bread led by our expert baker, Mrs. D Ugo. Happy Easter to all! Prayer Jar Blessed Trinity has started a Prayer Jar that will be filled with our intentions. The jar will be located on the Prayer table in Ms. Osborne s room for anyone wanting to drop their prayer intentions. Every day during morning announcements, one prayer/intention will be read out loud with the response being Lord hear our prayer. 3

Please send dried markers and empty batteries with your child. Thank you for helping us take care of the environment! Name the Eggs in Ms. Morra s Class Ms. Morra's ME/DD class is hatching chicken eggs! On Wednesday, March 30th, 12 eggs and an incubator arrived from Green Acres Farm.
