The CBC The Newsletter of Crowfield Volume XXVIII December 2018 Baptist Church Number 12 Crowfield Baptist Church presents Christmas at Crowfield Sunday, December 9, 2018 4:00 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. Doors open 30 minutes prior. Childcare provided through age three. This is a ticketed event; dress code is dressy casual. Join us as we focus on the miraculous birth of our Savior and Lord and worship the One who came to give us life. Our purpose is to promote Christ-centered and healthy families in our community through flexible and innovative ministries which effectively evangelize, disciple, and encourage them in a context that is both biblical and relevant to the lifestyles of people today.

Please RSVP by Sunday, December 9, to: ambernd16@gmail.com 2018 Contributions Deadline The last Sunday that contributions can be made through the offering plate for contribution credit for 2018 is December 30. After that date only contributions received by mail, with a postmark no later than December 31, will be credited to 2018. By law, contributions given the first Sunday in January must be posted for 2019, regardless of the date on the check or offering envelope. Thank you for your cooperation. 2

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions Every church. Every nation. Our Goal: $11,000 For over 172 years, Southern Baptist churches have sent missionaries to the unreached across the globe. Together we financially support more than 4,000 Southern Baptist missionaries that share the gospel all over the world. This year, our church has set a goal of $11,000. Our collective giving enables missionaries to be sent to make disciples and multiply churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God. Through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, our church is playing a vital role in taking the gospel to every nation. CBC Family News Bert Welch writes: Thank you for the memorial gift to the church in my mother s name. She loved the Lord and His church and was a devoted Christian involved in ministry for decades. Thanks for being such a loving and supportive church family for the Welches. God bless you all! Christmas Eve Candlelight Service 5:00 P.M. The service will feature musical worship, a Christmas message from Pastor David, a Christmas message for children by Pastor Andy, and a candlelight ceremony. No childcare provided for this service. Christmas Card Exchange For exchanging Christmas cards with members of the church, a Christmas card box will be in the lobby of Building B beginning Sunday, December 2. We ask that you give the money you would have paid for postage to mail these cards to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Please place the postage money in a missions envelope and place it in the offering plate. Be sure to mail your cards early and make sure you pick up any you might receive. Please note that the Church Office does not mail any of the cards. Cards not picked up by December 31 will be discarded. 3

Helping Hands of Goose Creek We will continue to collect canned goods and non-perishable staple food items during December to help some local families have a Christmas meal through Helping Hands of Goose Creek, a local food bank.
