Celebrant: Let us pray. THE WORD OF GOD Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Holy God, Holy and mighty, Holy Immortal One Have mercy, have mercy, have mercy, Have mercy, have mercy on us. Celebrant: People: Celebrant: The Lord be with you. And also with you. Let us pray. Collect of the Day Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ's Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. First Reading: Acts 2:14a, 22-32 (At the conclusion of the reading...) Reader: The Word of the Lord. People: Thanks be to God. Psalm 16 1 Protect me, O God, for I take refuge in you; * I have said to the LORD, "You are my Lord, my good above all other." THE LITURGY OF THE WORD 2 All my delight is upon the godly that are in the land, * upon those who are noble among the people. 3 But those who run after other gods * shall have their troubles multiplied. 4 Their libations of blood I will not offer, * nor take the names of their gods upon my lips. 5 O LORD, you are my portion and my cup; * it is you who uphold my lot. 6 My boundaries enclose a pleasant land; * indeed, I have a goodly heritage.

7 I will bless the LORD who gives me counsel; * my heart teaches me, night after night. 8 I have set the LORD always before me; * because he is at my right hand I shall not fall. 9 My heart, therefore, is glad, and my spirit rejoices; * my body also shall rest in hope. 10 For you will not abandon me to the grave, * nor let your holy one see the Pit. 11 You will show me the path of life; * in your presence there is fullness of joy, and in your right hand are pleasures for evermore. Glory to the Father; and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen Second Reading: 1 Peter 1:3-9 (At the conclusion of the reading ) Reader: People: The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Gospel: John 20:19-31 (Before the reading ) Gospeler: The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to St. John. People: Glory to you, LORD Christ. (At the conclusion of the reading ) Gospeler: The Gospel of the LORD. People: Praise to you, LORD Christ. Sermon (Silence to hear God speak.) Rev. Chris Bollegar The Nicene Creed (Please stand and profess together.) We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. Prayers of the People BCP, p. 387 (The Leader and People pray responsively.) Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church; That we all may be one.

Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you; That your Name may be glorified by all people. We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons; That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and Sacraments. We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world; That there may be justice and peace on the earth. Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake; That our works may find favor in your sight. Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble; That they may be delivered from their distress. Give to the departed eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy; May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom. (The Celebrant adds a concluding Collect.) The Confession BCP, p. 360 Celebrant: Let us confess our sins against God and our neighbor. (Moment of Silence) Celebrant and People: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen. Assurance of Pardon Celebrant: People: The Peace Celebrant: People: Almighty God, have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. Amen. Amen. The Peace of the Lord be always with you. And also with you. (The ministers and the people greet one another in the name of the Lord.) Offering (We sing and worship God as we offer all we have and all we are to Him, symbolized by the giving of monetary gifts from our own resources for the spread of God s Kingdom through Holy Trinity, Broomfield.) Offertory Revelation Song Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, holy, holy is he. Sing a new song to him who sits on heaven's mercy seat. Chorus Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, Who was, and is, and is to come With all creation I sing Praise to the King of kings You are my ev'rything, and I will adore you!

Clothed in rainbows of living color, Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder. Blessing and honor, strength and, glory and power be, To you the only wise king! (Repeat Chorus 2x) Filled with wonder awestruck wonder At the mention of your name Jesus your name is power, breath and living water. Such a marv'lous mystery! (Repeat Chorus 2x) THE HOLY COMMUNION The Great Thanksgiving (Eucharistic Prayer A) BCP, p. 361 Celebrant: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you. Celebrant: Lift up your hearts. People: We lift them to the LORD. Celebrant: Let us give thanks to the LORD our God. People: It is right to give him thanks and praise. Celebrant: It is right... to proclaim the glory of your Name. Sanctus (Justin Brooks) Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of power and might Heaven and Earth are full of your glory Hosanna in the highest Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord Hosanna in the highest Celebrant: Holy and gracious Father... Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith. Celebrant and People: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. Celebrant: We celebrate... Almighty Father, now and forever. People: AMEN. And now let us pray with confidence as our Savior Christ has taught us, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. The Breaking of the Bread BCP, p. 364 Celebrant: Alleluia. Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. People: Therefore let us keep the feast. Alleluia. Celebrant: The gifts of God for the people of God. All who are baptized and who love and follow Jesus are welcome to receive Communion. Those not wishing to receive may cross their arms across their chest and receive a prayer for God s blessing. During Communion time prayer teams will be available in the back of the room. They will gladly pray with you individually for specific petitions or concerns after you have received the sacrament. Communion Songs Jesus, Lover of My Soul (Words: Charles Wesley, 1740; Music: Greg Thompson, 1879) Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to thy bosom fly

While the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is high Hide me, O my Savior, hide, til life s storm is past Safe into the haven guide; receive my soul at last Other refuge have I none, I helpless hang on thee Leave, oh leave me not alone, support and comfort me All my trust on thee is stayed, all help from thee I bring Cover my defenseless head in the shadow of thy wing Thou, O Christ, are all I want; here more than all I find Raise the fallen, cheer the faint, heal the sick, and lead the blind Just and holy is thy name; I am all unrighteousness False and full of sin I am, thou art full of truth and grace Plenteous grace with thee is found, grace to cover all my sin Let the healing streams abound; make and keep me pure within Thou of life the fountain art, let me take of thee Spring thou up within my heart, for all eternity Taste and See Oh taste and see that the Lord is good Oh taste and see that the Lord is good to me Pre-Chorus You turned my mourning into dancing Put off my rags and clothed me with gladness Now I will rise and I will praise you, I ll sing and not be silent Chorus Oh Lord, my God I will give thanks to you forever Oh Lord, my God I will give thanks to you Post Communion Prayer BCP, p. 366 Celebrant and People: Almighty and everliving God, we thank you for feeding us with the spiritual food of the most precious Body and Blood of your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; and for assuring us in these holy mysteries that we are living members of the Body of your Son, and heirs of your eternal kingdom. And now, Father, send us out to do the work you have given us to do, to love and serve you as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord. To him, to you, and to the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory, now and for ever. Amen. Blessing Celebrant speaks. All: Amen. Recessional He Reigns (Newsboys) It s the song of the redeemed rising from the African plain It s the song of the forgiven drowning out the Amazon rain The song of Asian believers filled with Gods holy fire It s every tribe, every tongue, every nation A love song born of a grateful choir. Chorus It s all God s children singing, Glory, glory, hallelujah, He reigns, He reigns It s all God s children singing Glory, glory, hallelujah, He reigns, He reigns Let is rise above the four winds caught up in the heavenly sound Let praises echo from the towers of cathedrals To the faithful gathers underground Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation Some were meant to persist

Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples None rings truer than this And all the powers of darkness tremble at what they ve just heard Cause all the powers of darkness can t drown out a single word.
