The session will include lots of practical ideas to try in your own school before the follow-up session on 17th March A day to explore ways in which formative guidance enables children to know and understand what they need to do to improve in RE. There will be opportunities to discuss ways of incorporating this approach within the Agreed Syllabus for RE. It provides an opportunity for Heads of RE to meet together to share good practice, network with one another, offer support to colleagues and be updated on current issues in RE, both nationally and locally, as they arise. Service Level Agreement and training course fees The changing role of the DBE and the changing needs of schools and academies means we are constantly revising the Service Level Agreement. We currently offer 3 levels of support, aiming to keep costs as low as possible, as we are aware of the need to balance budgets in tough economic times. Bronze: all our schools receive some core services free of charge Silver: additional support Gold: enhanced level support With respect to training, the services offered are as follows: Bronze Silver Gold Access to network meetings for headteachers, NQTs, Re co-ordinators/heads of RE Ongoing and developing partnerships with LAs and National College on schools behalf Access to Resources Centre Discount on diocesan training events (25%) excluding Annual Leadership conference Free Foundation governor Induction training Two free twilight or short sessions from a member of the Education team chosen from list in SLA brochure Discount on diocesan training events (50%) excluding Annual Leadership Conference. 10% Discount on Annual Leadership Conference (two places per school) Free Foundation governor induction training Three free half day or long sessions from a member of the Education Team chosen from list in SLA brochure The capacity of our team has increased and we have also found some additional partners to enhance our offer.
