ADULT FAITH FORMATION OPPORTUNITIES AT ST. MARY S PARISH Chosen: This Is Your Catholic Faith will take you on a journey through the entire Catholic faith in all its richness and vitality. You will be captivated by the story, from Creation all the way through salvation history, and will come to see how the sacraments, prayer, and discipleship are the keys to a happy life. SUNDAYS: 10am Start Date: October 14th We may be familiar with different aspects of our Catholic faith, but how does it all fit together? And what difference does it make for our lives? In Part 1 we journey through the core teachings of the Catholic Church traced out in the Creed and Catechism with the goal of knowing the Faith. In Part 2, we focus on our encounter with God in the sacraments and the moral life so that we can be fully living the Faith. THURSDAYS: 7pm Start Date: October 18th As the air gets colder and leaves turn colors, rehearsals start again in our parish music groups for all the exci ng events during the year. Our Adult Choir rehearses from 7:00-8:30 PM on Thursday nights and sings at the 9:00 AM Mass and other special services and Masses such as Lessons and Carols and the Easter Triduum. Our Bell Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8 PM and plays about once a month for special Masses and occasions. No previous musical experience is necessary for either groups; we welcome all! Par cipa ng in musical groups can enhance your spiritual life and psychical and mental well-being. Stay tuned for informa on about Children's Choir! It is clear that we, St. Mary of the Assump on Parish, strive to be that great society. The parishioners, once again reached into your pockets and your hearts and generously responded to the call to help children be Ready to Learn. Through the Cradles to Crayons organiza on, many children throughout the diocese will be able to hold their head high when they enter school in a new ou it or with new school supplies. Thank you for caring, for dona ng and for praying for these children. It is important that the know that people care! S R Saturday: 3:30-4:15 p.m. and by appointment. S B Celebration of Baptism is typically celebrated on the last Sunday of the month at 12:30pm (after the 11:00 am Mass). Please call the office to schedule a Baptism. S M Arrangements should be made with Fr. Mark or Deacon Jim at least six months prior to wedding date. S S Please notify us if you know of someone who would like to receive this sacrament, or someone who is unable to get to church, but would like to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. www.stmaryhull.com September 30, 2018 Page 3
