Solstice Journal A practice for the Solar Self The Solar Self can be seen as that aspect of the personality that is luminous, active, and allencompassing. In my definition it is the ego and personality, it is the foundation of character. Like the Sun that moves through our days, years and lifetimes, sometimes easily accessible, sometimes hidden by the clouds of troubled emotions, it is definitive and sustaining. This journal practice will offer an opportunity for you to articulate and visualize this aspect of your consciousness and meet the Solstice with a more awakened Self. The next page of this booklet lists the supplies I recommend for the practice and details the process. Enjoy!
Solstice Journal A practice for the Solar Self Supplies A Journal or Blank Paper Pens and Colored Pencils A Selection of Music About the Sun 60-90 Minutes of Alone Time (preferably outdoors) Process Pull supplies together and secure your safe and quiet space. Create your workspace by decorating with candles, flowers, incense as you please. Set up music (see suggested list on next page). I use earbuds for this meditation. Sit in a relaxed, upright position once music is playing in a soothing volume. Close eyes and breathe in for the count of 4 and out for the count of 6 at least 4 times. Begin to settle into the music. Now, simply relax and listen and allow words and images, and memories rise and fall in your mind. After some time, at least 10 minutes, open your eyes and take to your journal. Both record and explore the images that came to you. Close this time with the same meditation practice as we opened, with ot without music.

A Simple Summer Altar A Practice for the Seasonal Home Use any surface in your home to bring the spirit of summer and the sun into your home. Keep it very simple and bright. There are other seasons for complications and darkness. Maintain the altar by keeping fresh from mid- June to mid-july, when the enregy changes. Examples: A Single Sunflower in a Simple Vase A Framed Picture of the Sunrise A Yellow Candle, Lemon Scented A Potpourri of Lemon, Lavender and Rosemary See my altar on the next page!
A Simple Summer Altar A Practice for the Seasonal Home This summer I'm focusing on finance, travel, and beauty. That's why you see my passport, a focus on money, and the first blooming calendula flower from my garden.
