NOVEMBER 10, 2015 R I C H L A N D H I L L S C H R I S T I A N C H U R C H T H E C H U R C H V I S I TO R and give more of ourselves for the good of others and for the glory of God? Let us start dreaming big for God and ask Him to guide us on our journey as a community in faith discovering the fullness of His love. Do You See What... Since the Advent season is just around the corner, I thought it would be good to share a line from a well known Christmas song. But instead of saying Do you see what I see?, I want to ask you Do we, as church, see what God sees here at Richland Hills? One of the challenges as we go through the process of revitalization is changing our self-image to match that of God s. God is waiting for us to say Here I am Lord, use me, and know that we are a church who can truly make a difference in this world - not by what we do but by what God does through us. One of the places we should strive to reach as we follow God is the place where we accomplish far more than we thought we could. It is at this place and moment that God has truly been the One at work. As we turn our attention to Advent and the holidays, how do we reach beyond ourselves to make an ever greater difference in this world and in the lives of others? How do we love more Raising the Flag Thanks to Disciples Men's Fellowship we were able to replace Military Branch Flags at Heritage Middle School in Colleyville this past Tuesday. In the photo Bill Agan was painting benches near the flag poles and in addition new mulch was placed in the bed. It looks great! Thank you RHCC for your generosity and your desire to honor our VETS.

This special offering benefits the Colleges, Universities, Seminaries, and the Divinity Houses affiliated with the Christian Church (DOC). These learning communities are an extension of the church, challenging students to understand and respond to God s call to serve. Attending a Disciples College or Theological School is possible through the scholarships and grants that are made available by generous individuals, the Disciples Mission Fund, and your gifts to the Thanksgiving Offering. Prayer is one of the most important things we can do as a body, so I am starting a group for whomever is interested in joining. There is a sign-up sheet in the Gathering Area. Each Tuesday, I will call the initial contacts and all week we will pray in the areas where God is leading us. Prayer, more than anything else, will change our church and put us in the place God wants us to be. So, if you are looking for a place to serve, this may be the perfect fit. Thanks, Pastor Paul You are invited to take a tour of the recently updated Nursery Rooms, Pre-School Classrooms and new Play Room in the West Hallway.
