Sermon Notes Thank you for allowing our nursery staff to care for your little ones so the worship of others will not be distracted. Pagers are available. Children are invited to participate in the Children s Message. When they exit they may join the Little Lambs (age 3-5) or the Worship Center (K-2nd grade). At the close of the service, please call for your child. Both centers are located upstairs, first hallway on the left. As a courtesy, please switch your cell phones off or to silent mode. Hearing enhancers are available. Please ask an usher. The flow of the worship service is subject to change.

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts (Psalm 105:1-2). On this Thanksgiving Sunday before Advent we gather together to give thanks-filled worship to the Lord for all that he has done. May this morning be a time of thank-full praise and worship of our great and Triune God! Welcome to Worship! This morning, Pastor Michael will conclude his Walking in the Light series using I John 5:4b-21. Next week, we will start our Advent Series From Wandering to Wondering as we use the first five books of the Bible (the Pentateuch) to explore where and how they point us to Jesus. We will begin that series next week with Genesis 3:1-5; 12:1-3. If you have Peter Fish with you this morning, please hang on to them. There will be an opportunity to bring them forward toward the beginning of the service during the song, Give Thanks. After the message today, members of the congregation will be invited to join in a time of sharing what you are thankful for. These will be incorporated into a prayer of thanksgiving toward the conclusion of our worship. Pastor Michael s sermon discussion class will take place during the Sunday School hour in the sanctuary but there is no Sunday School for the kids today. As we come into the last month of our fiscal year, we need to receive approximately $70,000 to meet our approved 2018 General Fund budget goal. Please prayerfully consider this need as you consider your year-end giving. Pease CRC is seeking a part-time (10-12 hours/week) Ministry Support Staff person. If you or someone you know might be interested job descriptions are available in the church office or by contacting Pastor Michael or Anita Hubers. The deacons gratefully acknowledge the November 18, 2018 receipts: General Fund-$6,168 and Gideons International, $2,071.62. Your offerings for the month of December will be taken as follows: December 2 Community Christian School; December 9-Benevolent Fund; December 16-Food Pantry; December 25-GAP and December 30-Crossroads Bible Institute.
