TANZANIA MISSION REPORT 18-28 MAY 2013 Dear friends and partners in ministry, First of all, I wanted to thank you for praying and supporting this mission trip. Your kind support enabled us to respond to God s call to reach out to many in Tanzania at such time as this. Many thanks to Shine In The World International Ministries out of Minneapolis with Evangelist Sammy Wanyonyi for partnering with us during this mission. A special thanks to our partner in Tanzania, David Ntagazwa, Founder of Bethel Pentecostal Fellowship Church and Spiritual Hunters Ministries who organized the work on the ground. He did such an outstanding job mobilizing and planning this mission. Finally, Many thanks to my dear friend Rev. Come Rutegamihigo from Rwanda for joining us in Mwanza and helping us minister the word. The Tanzania mission was a great success. We give all the glory to God for protecting, supplying, anointing, and directing every step we took. Above all, we thank Him for equipping church leaders, challenging and edifying His body, bringing new people in the Kingdom and healing many sicknesses and diseases! MWANZA OUTREACH: May 19-21 Our mission started in Mwanza, the second largest city in Tanzania, and a home to more than one million people. Mwanza is also known as rocky city because it is literally built on the rock! It is so rocky that building houses and roads present one of the greatest challenges. However, Mwanza has great economic potential due to its flourishing tourism and fishing industries, and its location on the shores of Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa, makes it an economic hub for Great Lake countries of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, and Rwanda. IT ALL BEGUN WITH PROPHETIC AND WARFARE PRAYER! On Sunday, May 19, the Lord led us to begin this mission with an intense prayer. Instead of preaching in one of the churches in the city, the Lord led us on top of the mountain, Kihili, overlooking the city of Mwanza, where, with a group of about 30 ministers, intercessors and others, we prayed for the city after sharing a message entitled God is able. We prayed against the many strongholds facing the city: Islam, Hinduism, witchcraft, traditional religions, ancestor worship, shrines, religious spirits, poverty, sicknesses and diseases to name just a few. We were not deterred by a scorching sun on top of a bare mountain! We pressed on and made prophetic declarations pronouncing breakthrough and blessings over the city. We were reminded of Ezekiel 37: 1-10 where the Lord told Ezekiel to prophecy over dead bones and to command them to live again! As we prayed, we felt the hand of the Lord stretching over the city to redeem it from various oppressions. We sealed our warfare prayer with shouts of joy: Jesus for Mwanza, Mwanza for Jesus. MWANZA CONFERENCE
On May 20 and 21, we proceeded with a conference that saw many people attending! Leaders from several churches came together to train and to be refreshed. The conference was a combination of teaching, preaching, and worship. The atmosphere was a revival like! People repented, prayed, and worshiped. We prayed for salvation and for the sick; we prayed for those who felt called to ministry. The Lord led us to teach on How to take the city, Spiritual warfare, Discipleship, and Biblical finance. We gave certificates to over 140 people for attending the 2 day conference. Here are some of the Mwanza conference highlights! The word was preached People praised, worshiped, and danced Church leaders stood united We prayed for various needs People received certificates for attending the conference KIGOMA OUTREACH: May 22-28 On May 22, we traveled to Kigoma, a city 500 miles away. Our meetings were held 30 km outside Kigoma city in the village of Kidahwe. It is an agricultural village where over 12000 people reside. SEMINARS AND CRUSADES IN KIGOMA The revival atmosphere of Mwanza continued as we ministered in Kidahwe. We conducted seminars all day long and in the evening we conducted open air crusades. The attendance was incredible. People traveled over 20 km to attend the conference. Several choirs were sent by churches in the surrounding areas to come lead both the conference and the crusade! It was a true revival! So many people came to attend the seminar that we run out certificates! Pastors, evangelists, men, women, young, and old all gathered to receive and get equipped for the work of ministry. Local government officials joined and were part of what we were doing. It was amazing!
The crusades reflected a true move of God. Hundreds gathered each evening on a dusty ground outside the church building. Several trees provided shade for many who attended from surrounding areas. The crowd grew every night. Choirs, musicians, and praise teams performed incredibly singing and dancing with all might. Many people responded to the message preached, repented and gladly received Christ as their personal Savior! We also prayed for the sick and the Lord healed many. Our last day of crusade on May 26 was partially made of testimonies of what the Lord had been doing during previous nights! One woman told us that her right leg felt like frozen or paralyzed for a long time. She heard about the meeting and came expecting healing. We prayed for her and she was instantly healed. She said that she went back home running! Another woman who had not been sleeping because of a chronic pain in her back and stomach was able to have a good sleep after we prayed for her. Chronic pains and headaches were healed. People were delivered of alcohol addictions and demonic oppressions. Sick people who could not make it to the crusade sent handkerchiefs so that we could pray for them and we did! God indeed confirmed His word with signs and wonders! To Him be all the glory and honor. Here are some of the highlights of Kigoma Outreach! People attended the seminar in great numbers They received certificates for attending
The number of people who attended our crusade grew night by night over the four day campaign Praise worship and dance were awesome Many received Jesus and many were healed Once again, thank you for praying and supporting this mission. Continue to pray that the seed that was sown will continue to grow and that Tanzania will see a great move of God in the days ahead. Sincerely, Anaclet Phiri Peace For Nations Ministries Dallas, Texas
