The Paradox Music Venue Teen Center Skate Park As our students are returning to school, it seems like a good time to add up all of the blessings we have seen this summer through the ministry at the Paradox. In June, we were excited to hear that we have been chosen to receive a $4500 grant from Lutheran Women s Missionary League, allowing us the funds to upgrade our facility! In July, we saw five of our kids and two moms attend the great VBS that Faith Lutheran held at Grand Oaks Elementary. July also brought us 35 volunteers on a sunny Saturday, painting walls and ceiling tiles, putting up drywall and all around cleaning up, getting ready for Fall. In August, we had the opportunity to witness to a young single mom that we ve been bringing to church. She had lots of questions about Bible stories she s been reading, and is interested in the why s of the Lord s Supper. Her four year old loves Sunday School! We are thankful to all who donate paper goods, food and drinks to the Paradox, as this subtracts from our overall expenses! With your prayers and financial help, we plan to multiply the ministry opportunities at the Paradox in this coming school year! The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with Joy! Psalm 126:3

Lunch New Bible Study Starting September 16th Do you wonder what being a Christian is really about? Have you thought about the reality of heaven & hell? How do you know if death will be the end or the beginning of your life? Does your behavior really matter to God? These are some of the questions we will be trying to answer as we look at the Book of Romans in the Bible. We will be showing you an easy way to understand the Bible, while looking at some really hard questions. There is Absolute Truth if you are open to it. We will be meeting on Sundays starting September 16th. We will meet at The Paradox from 5:30 PM until 7 PM Supper will be provided. Bring some friends and lets look for answers! We will be using the Bible as our main source as well as materials by Bill Kucenski, David Padfield & Mark Copeland. End of Month Potluck On August 26th, September 30th, October 28th & November 25th Starting in August, we are inviting families to a special potluck lunch. By each bringing something to share, we can have an abundant feast. So join us at 12:30 or as soon as you can for this fun & filling event. Skateboarding will start right after lunch. Have your Next Event at the Paradox The Paradox is a great place to have your birthday party, dance or skateboarding event. As part of our goal to make our facilities more user friendly to both skateboarders and non-skateboarders and to try to increase our occupancy we are doing a major remodeling of our facilities. We plan on making the facilities wheelchair accessible and to increase our lobby area. We have a licensed Plumber & a Bricklayer who have volunteered to help with this project. We still need an Electrician who is licensed to work in a commercial building. Plus, we need lots of volunteers to help with the rehabbing and cleanup of our facilities. In other words, WE NEED YOU! Ramps have been moved and painting has started, but there is plenty of room for more help.
