St. Mark s Lutheran Church June 2018 3051 Putnam Blvd. Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 Dear Friends of St. Mark's, Many of you are traveling this summer and embarking on an adventure. I've been reflecting on the lost art of navigating: that near-defunct art of opening up a paper atlas and finding the journey to one's destination. Siri has replaced the coveted role of the human front seat navigator. Early in his preaching career, Billy Graham led a revival in a small South Carolina town. Before the service started, he wanted to mail a letter. So he asked a child for directions to the post office. After the boy had given him directions, Graham said, "If you come to First Baptist Church tonight, I'll tell you how to get to heaven." The boy replied, "No thanks. You don't even know how to get to the post office." Part of our lived faith is being open to the meandering journey the Holy Spirit takes us on. Blessings this summer to each of you, Pastor Bekah
