Scotts Creek Baptist God s People, Seeking God s Presence, and God s Power Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, As I am writing this letter, I am reflecting on what I see happening at Scotts Creek. First of all, God is changing lives through the Forty Days of Purpose in several ways. One is that you are responding to the Word of God by committing more of your life to Him. Also, I can see our fellowship growing as you are getting together in each small group. I believe there is a growing hunger for Bible teaching and preaching. Out of this will come a greater desire to see people saved. We will learn to give more to the Lord s work and we will walk closer to each other. I want to say thank you for all the nice words, cards, money and gift cards that you have given to Judy and me in recognition of my fiftieth year of ministry and Pastor Appreciation month. I love and appreciate each of you from my heart. It is amazing what it does for our hearts as you respond to the love that Christ has put in our hearts for you. The next two months are sometimes hectic, but let us not forget what Thanksgiving and Christmas are all about. Thank God for all of His abundant mercy and provision. Thank God for sending Jesus into this world so that we could have forgiveness of all of our sin. Thank God that He is preparing a place for us in Heaven. Heaven is our eternal home and one day we will all be together there to praise Him through all the ages. Yours In Christ, Pastor J. D.
