Chris shared with us one of the puzzle pieces that he received from God during a wilderness time in his life. This Sunday, I d like to continue with that image and bring some more pieces of the puzzle to light that could be helpful in how we come to know God and relate to Him in healthy ways. Join us as we notice and wonder about our images of God.

SONG OF THE MONTH "Father Let Me Dedicate" YouTube clip "Father Let Me Dedicate" Lyrics From Fr. Chris: "Father let me dedicate all this life to Thee / In whatever worldly state Thou would have me be / Not from sorrow, pain or care, freedom dare I claim / This alone shall be my prayer, glorify Thy name" These are the opening lines to our Song of the Month: "Be Glorified/Father Let Me Dedicate." This song focuses on the desire to be at peace with the world around us even when (and especially when!!) things are not going as we would want them --- when God seems a million miles away and there is no justice or help to be found. The song expresses this longing for God in Christ to be glorified even if that glorification does not 'better' one's own situation and life circumstances. It expresses that moment when the desire for God's glorification in Jesus eclipses one's own desire for themselves. It is the experience of being emptied in prayer and praise for the glorification of the Son of Love. I pray that we may feel something of this passion as we learn and sing this beautiful song during the month of October!
