Rachel was raised in a Jewish home, became an Adventist in 2000 and is now one of the leaders in Jewish evangelism for the Greater New York Conference with her husband who is a pastor of a Jewish Adventist congregation in New York. Rachel is a professional singer who has toured worldwide and is the co-host of Back to Our Roots on 3ABN. Rachel will be sharing one of her heart-felt concerts with us this weekend from her latest music album, Singing In The Dark, Songs From the Holocaust. The pantry serves 30-40 families each day it's open. We are in need of helpers in the following areas: Putting food away in bins before the clients arrive (3-4 hour blocks) Pick up/delivery from Food City (2 hrs, 1x a week, Sunday Friday) Contact Linda Robertson 423/322-7206 to help with this important ministry. Musical Ensemble ~ have you ever played an instrument? We are starting a music ensemble here at Apison. I am Rachel Thompson Wiegand and have just retired from teaching and moved back to this area. I was in charge of an ensemble in Huntsville, AL for 14 years. We will be playing simple hymns that have been transposed already. We hope to play for church once a month or once every two months.
