When I Were a Lad.. How things have changed!

When I were a lad, if somebody gave you an apple you had to work out where the maggot hole was.

.sometimes you had to eat what you could find.

We made our own entertainment back then.no purple mat to land on!

You wore what your Nan knitted for you.and liked it!

The only form of torture were the school band.

The highlight of the year was our school photo!

Your official team kit for your favourite footer club only cost two shillings and sixpence or your nan could knit it for you.

After the second world war there were shortage of pets. We had to make do!
