Humboldt County Catholic Update A Glimpse at Church History Two thousand years and Growing Sometimes it is easy to think that Jesus Christ lived, died and rose and the following week the Church had an established Vatican, parishes, schedules for Mass and the sacraments! How did we get from there to here? The 2000+ year s history of the Catholic Church can be fascinating especially if we are among those who think that everything has always been the same. This session will investigate some of the historical movements and events which helped form our theology and spirituality as a Church. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 7:00-8:30 p.m. Assumption Parish Hall, Ferndale Wednesday, May 4, 2011 1:30-4:00 p.m. St. Bernard School Library, Eureka 7:00-8:30 p.m. St. Bernard Parish Hall, Eureka Presented by: *Please note the session at St. Bernard School will be structured for school or religious education teachers.
