They will be held at the Newman Center just up the hill from Health Sport in Arcata at 700 Union St at 7:30 pm. This session will be on the letters of St. Paul. One Life, One Rose Since May 1, 2011, Three Silver Roses have been making their way across North America, from Canada to the the United States to Mexico. The Roses will conclude their journey on Dec. 12, 2011, the feast of our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, at the Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey, Mexico. Sacred Heart parish is privileged to be hosting the Silver Rose of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Silver Rose Run. The Silver Rose will arrive at Sacred Heart Church at 5:00pm. Monday Sept. 5th 2011. Where it will be processed to its place in front of the alter honoring not only our Lady of Guadalupe also reaffirming our dedication with the Knights of Columbus to the sanctity of human life. It is to our Patroness of the Americas that we turn in prayer as we work to end the Culture of Death that grips our society.. There will be a Rosary followed by the liturgy of the Word, an Act of Consecration and the Final Blessing.
