ANNOUNCEMENTS Today we welcome Rev. John Bhajjan to the pulpit as Pastor Max and Sally take some time off. We thank him for bringing us today s message. Children proceed to Kid s Corner when dismissed from the worship service. Kid s Corner Nursery has blossomed. What a true blessing! Please sign your child(ren) out when you pick them up after services. Please also collect your child(ren) s take home papers. Ms. Colleen is still looking for a volunteer for the 4 th Sunday of the month, and the occasional 5 th Sunday. Christmas is coming quickly. Ms. Colleen will begin rehearsing Christmas songs with the children for our 7 PM Christmas Eve service. Please let her know if your child(ren) will be attending so she can prepare enough costumes. Their Christmas party will be December 23 at 11:00 AM. Spirit Led Youth (SLY) No meeting tonight. Next Sunday, Dec 2, 12:30 4 PM, a Day of Service. CHRISTMAS COOKIES - ORDERING BEGINS TODAY Help support SLY s Summer Mission Trip fundraising efforts and enjoy a fabulous mix of holiday treats including chocolates, candy canes and a decorative plastic gift tin to deliver as a thank you present to that important person this holiday season or bring to your favorite festive gathering. All items will be baked fresh and ready for you on Sunday, December 9 th. Cost is $10. Cookie choices: Butter Cookies, Russian Tea Cakes, Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter. The December newsletter will be prepared on Friday, Nov. 30. Information must be provided by Thurs, Nov 29.

2019 Pledge Drive You should have received a letter with a pledge card. We ask that you prayerfully consider your 2019 pledge and place your pledge card in the box at the back of the sanctuary today. Extra cards are also available. UMW thanks the congregation for signing up to provide a gift of clothing for one or more of the 43 Lumbee children of North Carolina for Christmas. Gifts are due next week, December 2. Thank you for your continued support. MSQ Women s Group (UMW) needs your prescription bottles! Please continue to bring your clean, unlabeled prescription bottles for this ongoing mission. CHURCH COUNCIL: The December council meeting will be held the SECOND TUESDAY, Dec. 11 instead of the usual 3 rd Tuesday. Please mark your calendars now. Our church secretary/administrative assistant position is open again. Please spread the word. Next week is the first Sunday in Advent. Jeanne Andolina will be arranging for the church to be decorated. If you would like to help, please send her an email: jandolin@comcast.net. She will be in touch to determine the timing. For many years, we have taken orders for poinsettias. Since we are helping so many Native American children this year and funds can be limited, we will not be taking orders. We will, however, still adorn the sanctuary with a limited

number of poinsettias. Should you want to help cover the cost of the flowers, see Kathy Crane.
