We will offer 4 days of Christmas Camp. Christmas Camp will run the same hours as summer camp from 9:00AM-3:00PM with extended care available. For your convenience we will run a manned drop off in the morning. We will offer more fun & games during extended care beginning at 8:00 AM if you need to arrive early or pick-up as late as 5:30 PM. We will spend the morning outside on the playground (weather-permitting) or in the gym playing kickball, dodge-ball, and other organized games. We will provide snacks only. Lunch will have to be brought from home. After lunch, we will head inside for an afternoon full of arts and crafts, games, Bible lesson and a movie. Here s everything you need to know about camp: HOW OLD DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE? Age 3 6 th grade. *Must turn 3 by September 1, 2018 and be 100% potty trained. WHO S IN CHARGE HERE? Lisa Jones, Alexis Jones (After School Program Director & Children s Ministry Staff). We also use trained Middle School, High School, and College students who worked with us this summer. Return your forms, with your payment to Christ Church at 4845 NE 25 th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308 or turn them into the church office. The office is open Monday Friday from 8:30am 5:00 pm. We will guarantee your spot if you are registered and paid in full. We will not be able to take walk-ins. We will not give refunds. DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2018 MORNING DROP-OFF Drop-off will be manned from 8:50 AM 9:10 AM for the regular camp day. If you arrive after 9:10 AM you will need to park and bring your child to the Crosswalk Room. If you need to arrive earlier then 8:50 AM you must register for early morning care and bring your child to the Crosswalk Room, located upstairs in the Life Enrichment Center. We are permanently changing the 9:00 drop off in the mornings and the 3:00 pick up in the afternoons to the West side of the church. It is the roundabout area where we have rainy day dismissal. Please do not drop off or pick up on the East side. AFTERNOON PICK-UP The regular camp day is over at 3:00 PM and parents should be in the pick-up line by that time. We will escort your child to your car. We are aware that an emergency will arise, or a traffic jam may cause a parent to be late in picking up a camper. If you are involved in this sort of situation, do not worry. Any child who has not been picked up by 3:10 will be taken to aftercare and may stay as late as 5:30. A Drop In fee of $10.00 will be collected for this service when your camper is picked up. IF YOU KNOW YOU RE GOING TO BE LATE, PLEASE CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE AT (954)228-9575. EXTENDED DAY PICK-UP (3:00 5:30PM): IF YOU PICK UP BEFORE 5:00 you will need to come to the Church Office. We will bring your camper to the Office. After 5:00, the church office, elevators and gym lobby doors will be locked. The church office lobby will be open. Parents will need to go to the church office lobby to sign their campers out. Please call (754)228-9575 and we will bring your child down to you. Any child not picked up by 5:30 will be charged a late fee of $10.00 per camper for every five minutes after the 5:30 pick up time. EARLY UNPLANNED PICK UP: If you pick up at any other time during the day you will need to check in at the church office. We will bring your camper to you. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO LOCATE YOUR CHILD AND PICK HIM OR HER UP. If you know ahead of time that you will need an early pick up (Dr. appointments, etc.), please give us a note when you drop off in the morning and we will bring your camper to the CHURCH OFFICE for you to pick up at the requested time. DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING LUNCH? We will provide snacks in Aftercare at no additional cost. Campers must bring their own lunch to camp. Lunch is not provided. WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR TO CAMP? Campers should wear play clothes, sneakers and bring a sweatshirt. NO Sandals, flip-flops, or Crocs. Please put your child s name on everything. Money, stuffed animals, toys, hand held games, I pods, I phones, etc. are not allowed. We will provide all necessary equipment and supplies, we will not be responsible for lost items. WHAT WILL WE DO AT CAMP? We will split our day between indoor activities (PS2, Wii, four square, arts & crafts, board games, card games, etc.) and outdoor activities (weather permitting) along with a Bible lesion, gym time and an afternoon movie. However, I further understand that, because of the nature of activities within the Ministry Programs, in which I am enrolling my child/youth, Name of child (hereinafter referred to as Participant ) regardless of the supervision, there is a potential for injury or death during any activity. The undersigned further consents to the administration of first aid and/or doctor s care or any form of medical treatment necessitated by illness or injury that may require the same. Please review the following rules with your child and help us maintain a safe and loving environment for your children. Everyone participates in scheduled activities and our daily Bible lesson. Everyone helps to keep our rooms clean. Our Respect Pledge As campers and staff at Christ Church Afternoon Adventures, we agree to follow the principles of this pledge to honor a Christian community of caring, and to take responsibility for our own actions.
