Lee Banks, Superintendent Deaconess Elaine Harris, Asst Superintendent WHY NOT TODAY? In the midst of today s chaos, conflict and confusion, God has a unique master plan for each and every one of us! It is a plan that does not change. It is also a plan tailor made just for you, that God wants you to fully complete! This plan continues from the moment you were born right up until the day you die! The important thing is that you are ready to heed God s voice. Often times we are so busy doing that we forget to listen first and then do. Other times we put off for tomorrow what we should be doing today especially when it comes to our relationship with God. How often do we say that we will study the Bible more tomorrow? Or we will pray more tomorrow? How often do we say that we will give someone on our mind a call tomorrow? How often do we say we are too busy to talk to someone and will contact them tomorrow? Or how often do we say that we will forgive someone tomorrow? There are some things for which we should make plans-- as God directs us, yet there are so many other daily things that we put off simply because tomorrow seems easier. There s a presumption that we will be around or that the other person will be around. We may even take it for granted that God should wait until we are ready tomorrow- when it is He that gives us each day! Take the time each morning to see what it is that should be done that day. Our relationship with God should be first on the list and nothing should cause us to put off seeking to know Him better. God has given us today is the time and we should use it with gratitude for tomorrow is not promised. Rev. Dr. Dale A. Lawson, Sr, Pastor
