I have been a loyal follower of DawoodiBohraJamaatand a citizen of the USA. I started this quest with my sincere taziatand condolences over the death of our belowedsayednamohammed Burhanuddin (RA) Like all the mumineen, I felt extremely grieved at the sad demise of our beloved Sayedna. As moumin, in our hour of joy or sorry, we turn to the Quran e Kareem. Its recital boosts our confidence and dissolves our despair. I too, fervently joined the siparamajlisarranged by the local jamaatbut found myself in a tight corner amidst the sleazy remarks and unwarranted curses against the presiding Mazoon Saheb KhozemaBS Qutbuddinwho had already announced that he was the lawful and worthy successor of the late 52 nd Dai-uz-zamaan. The sudden revolting change in their demeanor and behavior seemed alarming and disturbing to me. For only a few days ago we had been pledging our allegiance to him along with our late Sayedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA) sahib. In my heart of hearts, I was overcome of the feeling to fathom the truth. In spite of the overcrowded assignments of my professional life, I have never sidetracked or ignored my devotion, obligation and admiration for the Holy Quran. I absorbed myself totally in its recital and understanding during these days of turmoil and tantrum. Following are eight events that unraveled the truth towards which the Holy Quran guided me
17 th Rabi-ulAwwal During the Janaza relay arranged by the local jamaat but found myself in a tight corner amidst the sleazy remarks and unwarranted curses against the presiding Mazoon Saheb. This followed his declaration as a successor to Sayedna Burhanuddin (RA) as a 53 rd Dai. I suddenly stopped at a page which I was reciting from the Holy Quran as if it were pointing towards me with a clear message : Surah Gafir # 40 - Ayah 26 to 33 26. Said Pharaoh: "Leave me to slay Moses; and let him call on his Lord! What I fear is lest he should change your religion, or lest he should cause mischief to appear in the land!" 27. Moses said: "I have indeed called upon my Lord and your Lord (for protection) from every arrogant one who believes not in the Day of Account!" 28. A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah.?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies! 29. "O my People! Yours is the dominion this day: Ye have the upper hand in the land: but who will help us from the Punishment of Allah, should it befall us?" Pharaoh said: "I but point out to you that which I see (myself); Nor do I guide you but to the Path of Right!" 30. Then said the man who believed: "O my people! Truly I do fear for you something like the Day (of disaster) of the Confederates (in sin)!- 31. "Something like the fate of the People of Noah, the 'Ad, and the Thamud, and those who came after them: but Allah never wishes injustice to his Servants. 32. "And O my people! I fear for you a Day when there will be Mutual calling (and wailing),- 33. "A Day when ye shall turn your backs and flee: No defender shall ye have from Allah. Any whom Allah leaves to stray, there is none to guide...
17/18 th Rabi-ul Awwal The same evening (or the next morning) with all humility, I opened the faal in the Quran to see what Quran said regarding the claim made by Mazoon Saheb All the ayats on the page, one after another answered all my questions regarding the veracity of the statement issued by the Mazoon e Dawat. Surah Fussilat # 41 - Ayah 39 to 46 39. And among His Signs in this: thou seest the earth barren and desolate; but when We send down rain to it, it is stirred to life and yields increase. Truly, He Who gives life to the (dead) earth can surely give life to (men) who are dead. For He has power over all things. 40. Those who pervert the Truth in Our Signs are not hidden from Us. Which is better?- he that is cast into the Fire, or he that comes safe through, on the Day of Judgment? Do what ye will: verily He seeth (clearly) all that ye do. 41. Those who reject the Message when it comes to them (are not hidden from Us). And indeed it is a Book of exalted power. 42. No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it: It is sent down by One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise. 43. Nothing is said to thee that was not said to the apostles before thee: that thy lord has at his Command (all) forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty. 44. Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!" 45. We certainly gave Moses the Book aforetime: but disputes arose therein. Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their differences) would have been settled between them: but they remained in suspicious disquieting doubt thereon. 46. Whoever works righteousness benefits his own soul; whoever works evil, it is against his own soul: nor is thy Lord ever unjust (in the least) to His Servants.
18 th Rabi-ulAwwal Again after the previous faal, I happened to open the Quran randomly in a completely disturbed state of mind. Again the ayats on the page clearly pointed me towards Haqq Surah Saba # 34 - Ayah 33 to 39 33. Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!" They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds. 34. Never did We send a warner to a population, but the wealthy ones among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which ye have been sent." 35. They said: "We have more in wealth and in sons, and we cannot be punished." 36. Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Provision to whom He pleases, but most men understand not." 37. It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high! 38. Those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them, will be given over into Punishment. 39. Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of his servants as He pleases: and nothing do ye spend in the least (in His cause) but He replaces it: for He is the Best of those who grant Sustenance.
24 th Rabi-ulAwwal During these days, mama was serious ill. When I opened the faal, the back of my mind had the same question of the Nass and the situation of our Dawat. I specifically sought the answer for both the questions at this time Ayah 64 of Suran Noor confirmed that my mama s days in this world were numbered. He eventually died in the following 2 days! Particularly the last ayah clearly refuted the claim made by Mufaddal BS 62. Only those are believers, who believe in Allah and His Messenger. when they are with him on a matter requiring collective action, they do not depart until they have asked for his leave; those who ask for thy leave are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger. so when they ask for thy leave, for some business of theirs, give leave to those of them whom thou wilt, and ask Allah for their forgiveness: for Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful. 63. Deem not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger s order, lest some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them. 64. Be quite sure that to Allah doth belong whatever is in the heavens and on earth. Well doth He know what ye are intent upon: and one day they will be brought back to Him, and He will tell them the truth of what they did: for Allah doth know all things. Surah 25. The Criterion, 1. Blessed is He who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it may be an admonition to all creatures;- 2. He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten / chosen, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions.
4 th Rabi-ulAkhar Then came a moment when Shz. Mufaddal BS produced a hand written proof of the Nass made on him during the wayaz of 04 Rabui ul Akhar with 3 witness to the nass upon him dated 47 years ago. Not convinced with that claim, I again humbly sought the guidance from the Almighty Surah Noor # 24 Ayats 11 to 20 11. Those who brought forward the lie are a body among yourselves: think it not to be an evil to you; On the contrary it is good for you: to every man among them (will come the punishment) of the sin that he earned, and to him who took on himself the lead among them, will be a penalty grievous. 12. Why did not the believers - men and women - when ye heard of the affair,- put the best construction on it in their own minds and say, "This (charge) is an obvious lie"? 13. Why did they not bring four witnesses to prove it? When they have not brought the witnesses, such men, in the sight of Allah, (stand forth) themselves as liars! 14. Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair. 15. Behold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah. 16. And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah. this is a most serious slander!" 17. Allah doth admonish you, that ye may never repeat such (conduct), if ye are (true) Believers. 18. And Allah makes the Signs plain to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom. 19. Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not. 20. Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, and that Allah is full of kindness and mercy, (ye would be ruined indeed).
16 th Rabi-ulAkhar Then at the RaudatTaheraon the second day of my arrival in India (Sunday Feb. 16, 2013), with full humility I sought another faalfrom the Quran over the QabarMubarak of Sayedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA). SurahYusuf # 12 Ayats15 to 22 15. So they did take him away, and they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well: and We put into his heart (this Message): 'Of a surety thou shalt (one day) tell them the truth of this their affair while they know (thee) not' 16. Then they came to their father in the early part of the night, weeping. 17. They said: "O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Joseph with our things; and the wolf devoured him... But thou wilt never believe us even though we tell the truth. 18. They stained his shirt with false blood. He said: "Nay, but your minds have made up a tale (that may pass) with you, (for me) patience is most fitting: Against that which ye assert, it is Allah (alone) Whose help can be sought".. 19. Then there came a caravan of travelers: they sent their water-carrier (for water), and he let down his bucket (into the well)...he said: "Ah there! Good news! Here is a (fine) young man!" So they concealed him as a treasure! But Allah knoweth well all that they do! 20. The (Brethren) sold him for a miserable price, for a few dirhams counted out: in such low estimation did they hold him! 21. The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: "Make his stay (among us) honourable: may be he will bring us much good, or we shall adopt him as a son." Thus did We establish Joseph in the land, that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events). And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not. 22. When Joseph attained His full manhood, We gave him power and knowledge: thus do We reward those who do right.
26 th Rabi-ulAkhar Then inside the Saifee Masjid during the Khatm al Quran Majlis, Wednesday Feb. 26, 2013, another faal from the Quran checking the mainstream public opinion. Clearly asking again the question if the declaration from SMS was true. Surah Nisaa # 4 Ayats 171 to 175 171. O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. 172. Christ disdaineth nor to serve and worship Allah, nor do the angels, those nearest (to Allah.: those who disdain His worship and are arrogant,-he will gather them all together unto Himself to (answer). 173. But to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, He will give their (due) rewards,- and more, out of His bounty: But those who are disdainful and arrogant, He will punish with a grievous penalty; Nor will they find, besides Allah, any to protect or help them. 174. O mankind! verily there hath come to you a convincing proof from your Lord: For We have sent unto you a light (that is) manifest. 175. Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,- soon will He 175. Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,- soon will He admit them to mercy and grace from Himself, and guide them to Himself by a straight way.
27 th Rabi-ulAkhar Final time at the RaudatTahera before deciding the final step, Thursday Feb. 27, 2014, another faal from the Quran over the Qabar Mubarak of Sayedna Burhanuddin (RA). Still hesitating should I go or should I not, wait and see, may be, return back home SurahYusuf # 12 Ayats104 to 111 104.And no reward dost thou ask of them for this: it is no less than a message for all creatures. 105.And how many Signs in the heavens and the earth do they pass by? Yet they turn (their faces) away from them! 106.And most of them believe not in Allah without associating (other as partners) with Him! 107.Do they then feel secure from the coming against them of the covering veil of the wrath of Allah,-or of the coming against them of the (final) Hour all of a sudden while they perceive not? 108.Say thou: "This is my way: I do invite unto Allah,-on evidence clear as the seeing with one's eyes,-i and whoever follows me. Glory to Allah. and never will I join gods with Allah." 109.Nor did We send before thee (as apostles) any but men, whom we did inspire,-(men) living in human habitations. Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? But the home of the hereafter is best, for those who do right. Will ye not then understand? 110.(Respite will be granted) until, when the apostles give up hope (of their people) and (come to) think that they were treated as liars, there reaches them Our help, and those whom We will are delivered into safety. But never will be warded off our punishment from those who are in sin. 111.There is, in their stories, instruction for men endued with understanding. It is not a tale invented, but a confirmation of what went before it,-a detailed exposition of all things, and a guide and a mercy to any such as believe.
28 th Rabi-ulAkhar At the Raudat Tahera after the event, Friday Feb. 28, 2014, another faal from the Quran over the Qabar Mubarak of Sayedna Burhanuddin (RA). This faal clearly describes the relief that I should be feeling over my action from the night before AlhamdoLillah I was guided Surah Yusuf # 12 Ayats 96 to 103 96. Then when the bearer of the good news came, He cast (the shirt) over his face, and he forthwith regained clear sight. He said: "Did I not say to you, 'I know from Allah that which ye know not?'" 97. They said: "O our father! ask for us forgiveness for our sins, for we were truly at fault." 98. He said: "Soon will I ask my Lord for forgiveness for you: for he is indeed Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful." 99. Then when they entered the presence of Joseph, he provided a home for his parents with himself, and said: "Enter ye Egypt (all) in safety if it please Allah." 100. And he raised his parents high on the throne (of dignity), and they fell down in prostration, (all) before him. He said: "O my father! this is the fulfilment of my vision of old! Allah hath made it come true! He was indeed good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you (all here) out of the desert, (even) after Satan had sown enmity between me and my brothers. Verily my Lord understandeth best the mysteries of all that He planneth to do, for verily He is full of knowledge and wisdom. 101. "O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous." 102. Such is one of the stories of what happened unseen, which We reveal by inspiration unto thee; nor wast thou (present) with them then when they concerted their plans together in the process of weaving their plots. 103. Yet no faith will the greater part of mankind have, however ardently thou dost desire it.
