Our Guest Preacher Rev. Martin L.K. Lewis, Th.M. Reverend Martin Lewis is the Senior Pastor of Fresno Community Bible Fellowship in Fresno, CA. He accepted his call to preach the gospel in the Spring of 1995. At that time, his father, the late Pastor Booker T. Lewis, Sr. told him, Let the world be your pulpit which left a lasting impression on him. He spent the first few months volunteering as a preacher in the Fresno County Jail men s and women s prison facilities in the Central Valley of California, and on the streets of Fresno. Once he completed his Bachelor s Degree in English from California State University in Fresno, he matriculated at Dallas Theological Seminary. While in Dallas, he served at the Good Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor C.A.W. Clark. There, God continued to equip and prepare him for further ministry. In 2005, after earning a Master of Theology Degree in New Testament and Pastoral Leadership, he sensed God leading him back to Fresno to plant a church. In 2008, the Lord led Pastor Lewis to assemble a team of missionaries to serve Eastern and Central Africa equipping churches through biblical training. Later that year, the Lord sent Alvina and in 2010, they were married. They were blessed with their daughter Aida Jeane Lewis in 2013. In 2012 Pastor Lewis sensed God leading him to found the Kayrukson Theological Institute. The Institute continues to gain interest among believers seeking to grow in their learning and understanding of how to study the Word of God. Fresno Community Bible Fellowship continues to serve the Fresno community and is seeking to reach the lost with the good news of Jesus Christ.

SCRIPTURE MEMORY CHALLENGE Join us as we memorize the Word of God and become stronger in the Lord and in the power of his might. Challenge your spouse, children and friends. Memorize each scripture word for word. This week s scripture (NKJV) is: That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart hat God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation (Romans 10: 9-11) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 2:7) You can be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. God s Word will strengthen you as you receive it and apply it to your life. Jot down below what God says to you during today s worship experience. Date PUTTING THE PREACHED WORD INTO ACTION Sermon Title Biblical Text Key Points 1] 2] 3] 4] Other Points or Scriptures Lord, here s what I hear you saying to me today: Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22)
Thank You On behalf of Pastor Ealey and the members of the Paseo Baptist Church, we say Thank You for we are truly grateful for your support in helping to make this 132 nd Church Anniversary and Fall Revival a special occasion as we celebrate 132 YEARS OF PURE GOSPEL (Romans 10:9-11) Yours in Christ, 2016 Church Anniversary Committee and Volunteers: Howard & Tommie Allen Mary Allen Nathaniel Armstrong Lonnie & Jill Coulter George & Opral Davis Betty Fowler Sharon Gladney Ella Hamilton Danell Hurt Kimberly Johnson Yvette Lewis Lisa Moore James & Patricia Noel Lindsey Reid Nadine Roberts Henry & Reaner Shannon Lawrence & Shiree Shine Michael & Fannie Shook Grady Swayzer Lily Thomas DeAnthony Thomas Bobby Tripp Stephen & Shelly Vaughn Mamie Wandick God Loves You We ve all made mistakes. Nobody s perfect. The Bible says we ve all blown it. We don t measure up to our own standards much less God s! For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. [Romans 3:23] The Bible says justice demands punishment. If you do the crime, you do the time. You break the law, you pay the fine. If you get caught speeding, you get a ticket. If you break God s laws, you pay God s penalty. According to the Bible, the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. [Romans 6:23] In other words, somebody has to pay for all the things you ve done wrong in life: either you pay or somebody else pays for you. And this is where God says, I ll do it! He steps up to the plate. Jesus Christ is sent to earth - God in human form - and he says, in effect, I will pay for your sins. The good news? Everything you ve ever done wrong, everything you re ever going to do wrong, even things you haven t thought of yet, all those sins were paid for by Jesus Christ when he died on the cross. God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. [Romans 5:8] The price of your forgiveness was very high. The ultimate price. But Jesus thought you were worth it so he gave his life to pay for your sins. That s how much Almighty God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you! He paid that ultimate price. Do you ever think you re worthless because of things you ve done wrong? Jesus says, No. You are priceless. And I m willing to give my life in order to pay for your sins. Don t you want to accept his payment? If so, bow your head and pray, Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son. I receive his payment for my sin. Please forgive me for all my sins and accept me as your child. Make my life whatever you wish. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
