FOUNDER S MESSAGE We have come to the end of another year, and how quickly it has gone! My focus is already in 2018 and the wonderful opportunities that it will bring. I have a faith goal for 2018: to place a Jesus Alive Teaching Centre in every prison in Kenya. There are 119 prisons with just over 68,000 prisoners. This is an incredible opportunity as we have an official invitation letter from the head of the Kenyan Prisons Correctional Department. I would appreciate it if you would get involved in this project with Jesus Alive. It costs $2,000.00 for each station, which includes a monitor, DVD player and the full set of DVD s. These include 50 hours of discipleship training, including two gospel messages in their local language. We undertook two pilot programmes in Kenyan prisons during 2017 and the results were remarkable. This led to the invitation to repeat this in all the prisons. It is amazing to see the powerful impact of the gospel. The Bible says it is the power unto salvation and we experience this all the time. What a privilege to witness the works of Jesus. When He answered the disciples of John the Baptist, Jesus said, Go tell John that the blind see, the cripple walk, the dead are raised up and the gospel is being preached to the poor. This is the calling of Jesus, and even today He is still doing His works through His followers. Thank you for your support during the year of 2017. You truly are a blessing to our work as we partner together. May God richly bless you and yours so that 2018 will be a blessed year for you. Peter Pretorius

OVERVIEW During the fourth quarter of 2017, it was our privileged to bring the word of life to the utter most parts of rural Africa. Through the Jesus Alive Outreach Programme, which includes 50 hours of the Christian Discipleship Programme (CDP) taught in three countries. Namely Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya and Tanzania Philippians 2:16 Amplified Bible (AMP) holding out and offering to everyone the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to rejoice greatly because I did not run [my race] in vain nor labour without result. As Jesus Alive we a committed to running the race, and it is our task to leave each facilitator in the villages with equipment to continue with the CDP teachings. The materials left to facilitators include; DVDs, a DVD recorder, a television and a generator to run the television set. The teachings are designed to equip all new converts with foundational truths of the Good News for everyday life. During the reporting period, we recorded 69,568 salvations and many were healed in the nine outreaches held. The CDP is an integral part of the outreach with a total of nine CDP centres being established in the fourth quarter. Five schools were evangelised and a total of 1,487 salvations recorded and 46,278 villagers watched the Jesus Film..

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO (DRC) We continued to bring the healing word of God to the villages in DRC in Shindaika, Nguba and Kikanda of Haut-Katanga province. The communities in Haut-Katanga province shared how they have been transformed and renewed by the teachings from fetishisms, immorality and alcoholism affecting many households. The main sources of income for these villages are agriculture and small business. A pastor in the village called Pastor Credo Mukasa said I m very touched by the high calibre of teachings like that we received during the Jesus alive outreach. What I have retained is helping me to be humble. He was overwhelmed by the power of the teachings from our team because it united the different churches in the village. All the pastors and elders came together for the first time at the CDP meetings, and shared testimonies. During the Outreaches held in DRC, we recorded 29,927 salvations. A total of 18,905 attended the CDP lessons and 34, 808 watched the Jesus Film. Three schools were evangelised and 1,034 students attended the outreaches.

TESTIMONIES CHIEF MBAYO LUKWESA "I have been the village chief for many years in Shindaika, and I have never seen the villagers come together like this before. Said Chief Mbayo Lukwesa. He said the whole village flocked to the crusade and CDP teachings every day during a busy agricultural period. Chief Mbayo highligted that Jesus Alive was a great blessing and the outreach has changed lives in the village, and he blessed the team. PETRONIE LWANDWE Petronie Lwandwe is 52 and a married mother of five children. She praised and thanked God for healing her from four years of pain in her right ankle. She was unable to do any work in her field without experiencing excruciating pain. But since she had been prayed for after the teachings, three days had passed without feeling any pain and she was productively working in the field. ALBERT MUKENDI Albert Mukendi is a 27 years old married, father of two children. He came to the outreach to repent and give his life to Christ. He testified that he was set free from his addiction to trinkets that he had gotten from a witchdoctor for strength. Testifying that he realized the only strength he needed was found in Christ.

KENYA We brought the word of the gospel of Christ to villagers in Kemera, Omogonchoro and Kegogi located in Nyamira County. The main strongholds in these areas are witchcraft, poverty, sexual immorality and alcoholism. Kemera villagers rely on small scale farming in tea and coffee to sustain the village, with a few cultivated areas for maize, beans and bananas. Our Team went into this village having faith and believing God to heal this village. Through the power of God, and the teams prayers peace prevailed and health was restored to Kemera. In Omogonchoro village known for its teas and coffee farming, our team was excited to be with them during turbulent political times in Kenya. They prayed and trusted God for peace during elections and many villagers got saved during the prayer meetings. Kegogi village was the last village our team ministered in, known as the central hub for trading and markets for tea, maize and bananas. Our team reported that Kegogi was a great end to 2017, with the outreaches and CDP being well attended and all local pastors testifying of the amazing work of Peter Pretorius.

Throughout the three outreaches that took place in Kenya during this quarter, we recorded 20, 753 salvations. A total of 4,452 villagers attended the CDP lessons, and 9,950 watched the Jesus film.

TESTIMONIES JOYCE OMWOBO Joyce has engaged in witchcraft for years and had vowed never to believe in salvation. She found it foolish and unbelievable that people can give their lives to Jesus and confess salvation. Joyce grew up believing that witchcraft was the only source of divine power. Her doubts began when she lost her parents and two sisters in one year, because she believed that her parents were immortal. After the death of her parents the villagers chased Joyce from her home and destroyed her house. She found herself looking for refuge with friends, but things just weren t working out. Joyce began to listen to the gospel as her last resort and went to our Gospel Outreach, where she gave her life to Jesus and decided to learn about God and His word to change her life. EVANS ATINA Evans had been having migraine headaches and backaches that had persisted for about five months. He came for the CDP teachings trusting God for a miracle. A doctor who had prescribed him with medication that did not stop the pain, advised him to get counselling to try help with the pain. Evans came to the CDP class and began to put his faith in God and he was healed, and testified of the goodness of God for his miracle. JANET AND RICHARD Janet and Richard s marriage was on the rocks and Janet was in great distress because of the issues that stood between her and her husband. She came to the meetings and believing Jesus would restore her marriage. She went home with the peace that Christ would restore her marriage. Janet came back the next day and testified of how God miraculously healed her marriage and brought her husband on to the stage to testify of the miracle. The husband came up and there were shouts of joy from the crowd as Janet kissed her husband and held his hand. We were very moved to see how God had used us to restore a marriage that was in a bad place, and it was amazing to see the joy on the faces of this couple. 12

TANZANIA We thank God for being able to spread the Good News to villagers in remote rural parts in Tanzania in Mhango, Ngulyati and Kilalo. The power of God was moving in a special way in these villages and hundreds accepted Christ as their Lord and saviour. In Mhango, Ngulyati and Kilalo the major strongholds are robbery, witchcraft and ancestral worship. The villagers make a living from farming cotton, maize, rearing cattle and small business in the province. We witnessed a number of amazing things as many were saved and delivered from evil spirits and healed. God moved in a powerful way and victoriously throughout all the outreaches. The villagers experienced breakthroughs that they had never seen before. In all three villages we recorded 18,888 salvations. A total of 6,530 attended the CDP lessons and 1,520 watched the Jesus Film. 13

TESTIMONIES MARYAMU MBALU Maryamu Mbalu is a 38 years old woman who was dealing with a lot of pain caused by a rash all over her body. She came to the meeting in all that pain hoping to get healed and delivered. After the teaching she was prayed for the rash and pain were totally gone. ELIZABETH KULWA Elizabeth Kulwa aged 22 said; God sent Jesus Alive to take the gospel into rural areas in Africa and I believe that God is showing His glory through this team. It shows that God is with them through the miracles that have happened here in this place, with so many people being set free from bondages and demonic oppression. I feel so welcomed, into this new family of believers and I am learning so much from the CDP teachings. Elizabeth went on to thank God for blessing the village with the team and said she knows she will see so many lives changed, urging the team to continue with this amazing work. JULIANA RAMADHAN Juliana Ramadhan, is a14 year old girl who came to our meeting with her mother, but couldn t hear anything that was being preached. She had been like this since she was 8 years old. After she was prayed for God opened her ears, and Juliana could hear everything clearly. All Glory to God for restoring this young girls hearing 15
