Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. The Lahiri Family SWASTIK LAHIRI, JULY 18, 2007 I am so glad God allowed me to share in Grant's life. Your family has truely touched my heart. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. You are in my prayers from one of his past nurses. Penny PENNY ABBRUZESE, JULY 16, 2007 Andrew and Grant attended Centennial together. We are blessed knowing him and our prayers are with you. ANDREW R. ZIMMERMAN, JULY 16, 2007 Please know it was an honor to know you and your son, and that I am moved by his passing. DAVID SANDERS, JULY 16, 2007 I have decided not to say goodbye because I know that we will play again someday. I loved him so deeply and will forever be thankful that he chose me to be his playmate. What a lucky girl I am. It is such a testiment to the love Lu and David showed to see how happy this child was when he was well. For a child with such a heavy burden, he sure could enjoy a party! HE was my favorite party. OWEN SIMPSON HARRIS, JULY 14, 2007 I want to thank you David and Lu for giving me the honor and the pleasure of caring for Grant. He was such a joyful child who woke up with a smile on his face and ready to play.i'll always remember how Grant would sometimes smile and laugh in his sleep.my thoughts and prayers are with your family. TOMMIE GRIDER, JULY 14, 2007 David and Lu, I remember the first days of school for Grant at Pearson Early Childhood School. I knew we were making a difference when Grant would come through the front door and smile when he heard the other children. His

peers loved to play with him and all his fun toys. Lu and David, you have been outstanding parents and have made a difference not only in Grant's life, but also in the lives of the educators that were blessed to be with him. Both of you taught us many things about Grant and all the sensory integration ideas that you developed and shared with us to meet his needs! I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the service as I am on the East coast; however, I will be in touch when I return. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God is blessed to have Grant with him - playing freely amongst all those precious angels! CHERI IZBICKI, JULY 13, 2007 We are so sorry for your loss. I know that your lives feel so empty and that your sadness overpowers you at this time. The wonderful memories you have will fill your dreams and thoughts with joy. You are in our prayers. MEREDITH & WESLEY PERKINS, JULY 13, 2007 Luzona and Dave, Our hearts cannot express the intense grief and loss for you. Though we 'teased' about it, we sincerely love the Grant Man like a 'son in law' for our Gillian. We beleive they have a special bond. Grant is a blessing from above and we are grateful we were able to share in his life for a short time. I KNOW he is now in Heaven, in no pain, happy, and looking down at us, smiling. He is telling us to "Say it Loud, and Say it Proud!" Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lu and Dave, for allowing us to take part in the experience of Grant. We are richly blessed. Your family forever holds a deep place in our hearts. We love you, always. STEVEN, KIMBERLY AND GILLIAN DEANS, JULY 13, 2007 My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your beautiful child and your love and devotion had a profound impact on the lives of many. Take care of yourselves. GERRY FOSTER, JULY 12, 2007 My heart ached when I heard the news of Grant's passing. It was an honor and a privilege to have known your son - even if it was only for a short time. During his last 2 years at Centennial, I was proud to be able to spend a little time each week providing Library "storytime" for all the ALC students. Though,

there were times when Grant wasn't really in the mood for a good story. There were other times when the "size" of Grant's smile was his way of telling me just how much he enjoyed it. Grant was always in our prayers. I'm so sorry for your loss. In some ways, I feel your pain. I lost my daughter, Amanda (age: 22) to Leukemia on 3/16/06. I/We may never understand why God called our children to heaven. Only God knows for sure. I pray that my angel, Amanda will welcome Grant with open arms & tuck him under her wing. I also pray that God gives you the strength & courage needed to get through this difficult time. And, may He bring you comfort and peace with his loving embrace. Brenda Adamson--Library Assistant BRENDA ADAMSON, JULY 11, 2007 May the peace and love of God surround you in a special way during this time. DAVID & JUDY MADDUX, JULY 10, 2007 It was my pleasure to know Grant and work with him and your family for the past few years. My prayers go out to your whole family at this time of loss. BRENDA KAY SZYMKOWIAK, JULY 10, 2007 What a priviledge it was for me to be part of Grant's life as one of his teachers. He stole my heart and I will miss his precious smile! I grieve with you and pray that you will feel the loving arms of the Lord comforting you, as only He can. I will pray for you often!! Sheri Seal SHERI SEAL, JULY 10, 2007 Dear Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin, I am the Team Leader of the Special Education Dept. at Centennial. I didn't know Grant very well but got to see him throughout the past year. He was such a sweet little boy and loved so very much by the Centennial staff. His teachers in the ALC room loved him as their own and I know, will miss him very much. You are extraordinary parents who provided such a loving home for Grant. May God bring you the peace that only He can give, at this sorrowful time in your lives. On behalf of all my team, we offer our deepest condolences! Linda Lieser LINDA J. LIESER, JULY 10, 2007 I'll miss this sweet boy more than you'll ever know. Thank you so much for

letting me be a part of Grant's life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. CHERI ANDERSON, JULY 10, 2007 Lu and David, we pray God is with you both to keep you strong, as He always has, to heal you and to know Grant is with Him and at peace. Tyler and Grant shared a special bond at Centennial we will never forget. You are such special parents that God chose for Grant's brief stay in our lives. We will miss him. We are here for you if there is anything we can do. Our love and prayers to you both, Maria, Phillip, Tyler, Austin and Dylan THE COLE FAMILY, JULY 10, 2007 I am one who has had the misfortune of not knowing Grant and of not knowing you David and Luzona. I have been drawn to Grant s website by all the marvelous things that I have heard about him and all of the stories of your love and devotion to him. And though there is no comfort in having been given a child and having fought so lovingly and diligently for his life for so long to only see it ultimately taken away, even having known that it was to someday be; great solace can surely be taken in knowing that this one little boy in his brief lifetime touched more lives, melded more hearts, left more good memories, and solidified more faiths in mankind and in God than most people will in a lifetime by his mere desire to love, live and enjoy what he was given in the time that he had; even touching lives such as mine and others who he never knew him. Little children are such as are in the kingdom of heaven; pure, innocent, unspoiled by the world, and, when taken early, are in the kingdom of heaven. We all know that he is at peace now and may you feel that same peace and comfort that he now knows and wishes for you. I cannot do anything less than love you. JIM JONES, JULY 9, 2007 I will forever miss his incredibly strong spirit, thick, beautiful hair, and flawless skin. He was beautiful inside and out. It is undeniable that Grant mattered deeply to many. The love and commitment you have shown for each other is unparalleled. As hard as you fought for him, he fought right back for you. What a lucky boy he was to have you. I couldn't be prouder of the father that my

brother has become. My love and prayers to you both. TRACI P., JULY 9, 2007 My heart goes out to you and your family. You remain in my thoughts and prayers and I love you. God bless you and hold you closely. Lucy Clark LUCY CLARK, JULY 9, 2007 I feel truly blessed to have known Grant and to be involved in his life. Thank you for giving me that opportunity. I will miss him dearly. David and Lu- you have been an inspiration to me and all others that know you. Such a lucky little boy to have had such wonderful parents as you. My prayers are with you. MISTY PICKETT, JULY 8, 2007 What a joy Grant was to have in music class. We had so much fun playing games, singing, and dancing. His classmates would fight over who could be with him as his partner. God's love is so very strong and I know Grant is in His prectious arms. May the Lord bless you with comfort, always. Sincerely, Leah Johnston--Grant's music teacher. LEAH ALISE JOHNSTON, JULY 7, 2007 My prayers are with both of you. Words cannot express the deep sorrow I feel. Grant is now a happy, laughing little boy playing in the sun in heaven; and he smiles down on his loving mother and father.. who loved him so very very much. EDWARD BURRIS, JULY 5, 2007 " What a Beautiful Child". This is a very difficult time in your life. My heart goes out to you both! Life deals us difficult situations, and we do not have answers. I forwarded a prayer, and hope you received it to David's email. I feel Grant was welcomed with open arms from your Dad, my Mom and Bill, and all the loving angles, will be surrounding him.
