PASTORAL INTERN WENDY POCH IS ON CALL FOR PASTORAL EMERGENCIES AND URGENT ISSUES FOR THIS COMING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24, AT 303-514-5266. THIS SUNDAY AT SPIRIT OF HOPE CHRIST THE KING SUNDAY This Sunday, November 25, is Christ the King Sunday at Spirit of Hope. We focus on the kind of Savior King we have, one willing to die for us on the cross and point us to truth. The Bible passage for Sunday s message will come from the gospel of John, chapter 18 verses 33-37. We meet in the gym in Pine Lane Elementary North (6485 E Ponderosa Drive, Parker, CO 80138). Fellowship begins at 9 am. Worship is at 9:30 am and the special gift bag assembly for Mean Street Ministry takes place after worship at 11:00 am (see article below). ALL SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES ARE IN RECESS THIS SUNDAY HOPEFUL SPIRITS NEWS! Shopping for Blessing Bags has started!! Hopeful Spirits will be assembling these bags in December. Any donations for the Blessing Bags will be appreciated. THE BULE MISSIONS TUB WILL BE OUT THIS SUNDAY FOR YOUR DONATIONS! We are in need of Chapstick, small bottles of water, winter caps and gloves; but anything that is donated will be gratefully used. Thank you very much!

CROSSWAYS THIS WEEK Crossways Class will be in recess this week for the Thanksgiving holiday. The next class is on Wednesday, November 28. Please contact Intern Wendy if you would like more information. YOUTH NEWS! ST. NICHOLAS SERVICE DAY AND LUNCH PARTY RSVP by THIS SUNDAY! Youth, young adults, and parents ages 13 and up are invited to serve together at the Operation Christmas Child Denver Warehouse on December 8th. We will meet at Pine Lane Elementary North at 7:45 am. Our work time is 9 am -1 pm. We will then head over to Golden Corral for an all-you-can-eat lunch at 1:45 pm. All youth including those under the age of 13, and any parents who wish to participate, are invited to join us for lunch and for our white elephant gift exchange at 1:45 pm. Everyone should bring a new or used gift in the $5-$10 range that is wrapped. We should return to Pine Lane Elementary North by 3:30 pm. Please note the early RSVP deadline (THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25th) as required by OCC and the restaurant as both are in high demand on Saturdays during the holiday season. There is a minimum number of participants required. Please contact Intern Wendy to RSVP. HIGH SCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL Beginning Sunday, December 2nd, our high school youth will begin a study titled "The Little Guys". We will be discussing the books that sometimes receive a little less attention. Yet these books are an important part of God's Word to us. What is their message? Come and find out! We will spend a week on each of the following books: Obadiah, Jude, 2 John, 3 John, and Philemon. If you want to read ahead before class time, our discussions can go even deeper (and reading won't take long - we promise!). First up on December 2nd will be Obadiah. MEAN STREET MINISTRY VOLUTNEER OPPORTUNITIES Our local mission partners at Mean Street Ministry have the following ongoing and upcoming volunteer opportunities available to minister the love of God to the homeless in the Denver area:

Monday and Tuesday Street Ministry - The street ministry is the genesis and heart of Mean Street. On Monday and Tuesday nights (~5:30 8:30) volunteers go to the streets and motels to meet those in need. It's an easy and tangible way for you to be the physical hands and feet of Jesus. New volunteers are paired with experienced volunteers to learn how to minister. For more information and to sign up visit: https://www.meanstreetministry.org/street-ministry Christmas on Colfax, Saturday, December 8 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Volunteers sign up in time blocks to help set up, serve lunch, clean up, distribute gifts and relationally minister with the homeless families who would otherwise not have a Christmas celebration. Items are provided, all you need to do is help put gift bags together! A THANK YOU NOTE from Intern Wendy I would like to take a moment to thank you, my brothers and sisters at Spirit of Hope, for all of the love, prayers, encouragement, and financial gifts you have given to help me and my family as we go through this seminary journey. Through you, God consistently has been providing for our needs, precisely as the need arises, and it leaves me in awe! God has blessed me beyond my measure and He does so through you. Thank you, each of you, for the various ways you have helped me on this journey so far. Many of you have helped without even realizing, perhaps, the many different ways that God is

working through you. I am blessed to have the opportunity to study God's Word deeply, to be immersed in theology, and to learn how to be a better servant leader. Each of you is an essential part of this journey and I thank you for helping to give me the opportunity to learn and grow and for walking beside me along the way. Prayer Requests - If you have a prayer request for the prayer chain please contact Pastoral Intern Wendy Poch at 303-514-5266 or wendy.poch@spiritofhopelcmc.org. Jesus said; "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
