You get an incredible Rocky Mountain weekend retreat. Between the sessions of guided imagery, self-reflection, incredible music, informal lectures and a wonderful documentary on The Hero s Journey, comes a sense of empowerment that makes one feel they can conquer the world. Adam Agee on fiddle and Jon Sousa on guitar and banjo with some wonderful traditional Irish music.
Dan Sebranek gave a second concert on Saturday night and here I am singing with him on a few traditional Irish tunes. Like my new hat? 2013 Spirit of Ireland Trip: Come Join Us. Plans are underway four our annual Spirit of Ireland tour (nick named, Ruins, Runes and Tunes). Next year we will spend three nights in Dublin, followed by three nights in Donegal, and finish with three nights in Doolin. Sacred sites on this tour include New Grange, The Hill of Tara, the Beltane Stones Circle, the sacred valley of Glencolmcill, and the Aran island of Innismere. Two of our three accommodations are deluxe castles hotels and once again we will immerse ourselves in the country s best traditional Irish music. What makes our tours special are the sacred ceremonies (poems, prayers, songs, tunes and meditations) at a host of sacred sites as well as the group of beautiful souls that a tour like this attracts. Below is a link to the 2013 PDF brochure which includes the registration form on the last page. We have 10 spaces left, and would love to have you join us. Adam Agee, Jon Sousa and Dan Sebranek will accompany our group as musical troubadours. Boy, are you in for a trip of a lifetime! I am not yet sure where it is taking me. I would like to study more about Irish music as healing force and the encoding that P.J. Curtis told us about. Most of all I wanted to take some time to thank you for providing an incredible, unforgettable and healing experience. You took such great care of us and made it an
immensely magical trip in all ways. That s pretty amazing! It flew by and every day was as good or better than the previous one. Yes, I ve been doing the laundry ( after ecstasy, the laundry ) and I am back at work, but Ireland and our group stays with me. The music has become part of my vibration. P.J. s writing also captures Ireland in a mystical way. I am enjoying his books and would like to spend more time with him. All in all, I am in awe of the way you integrate deep healing work into everyday activities without making a big deal out of it. You are doing profound work that changes the world. I just want to acknowledge this and thank you for it. I learned a lot from you in a short time. Thanks for everything! I am still floating on the magic. Anne G., MN Earth Songs on PBS As was mentioned in an earlier newsletter, the distribution rights for my award winning film, Earth Songs: Mountains, Water and the Healing Power of Nature were picked up earlier this year by a company in California. I was notified in August that KQED, the PBS affiliate in San Francisco picked up Earth Songs and has aired it several times this fall. Now other PBS affiliates across the country are picking up Earth Songs. To have a movie on PBS is the dream of any documentary filmmaker.pinch me! And for those interested, my new book, A Beautiful World; The Earth Songs Journals, is available through my paypal store page and it makes a great accompaniment to the DVD (and a great Christmas present, too!) Here is a link to the Inspiration Unlimited store with a paypal link for purchase: http://www.brianlukeseaward.net/paypal/
By the way, several friends and colleagues have told me they have called their local PBS affiliates to see if they would also air Earth Songs. Many thanks to everyone for your support in my efforts to gain wider visibility for this humble but timely film. Book cover of A Beautiful World ($50) A Taste of Italy As many of you know, I took a wonderful group of people to Italy last month (September) on the second annual trip: Eat Walk, Meditate. Boy, did we have fun; two nights in Florence, four nights in a Tuscan villa (with day trips to Siena, Pienza and Montepulciano) and three nights in Venice. The whole trip was magical. The food, the music ( we attended a Vivaldi concert in Venice sublime), the museums, the art, the culture simply wonderful here are a few photos from the trip, and all I can say is if you have never been to Venice, you have to go.for sure one of the treasures of humanity. Below is a little photo essay from the trip. Ciao! Gondolas in Venice
Mural artwork in a medieval monastery A phenomenal concert of Vivaldi music at the Plaza de Marco simply stunning!
Super Storm, Sandy, and her wake of destruction As I write this newsletter, I am saddened by the wake of devastation and the great loss suffered by so many, including some friends and colleagues Here is a photo essay that may be of interest to many. Please keep your thoughts and prayers coming to those in need. http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2012/10/hurricane-sandy-after-landfall/100396/ Desserts is Now an E-Book on Kindle and the Nook Once again, I am happy to report that in June my best selling book, Stressed Is Desserts Spelled Backward was released as an E-book on both Amazon s Kindle and Barnes and Noble Nook. I acquired the electronic rights to Desserts in Jan and with the help of some friends was able to birth it into the digital world along side Stand Like Mountain, Quiet Mind, Fearless Heart and the Art of Calm. While many people tell me that Stand Like Mountain is their favorite self-help book, Desserts, I am told repeatedly is their favorite collection of inspiring stories. I agree. If you would like to add Desserts to your e-book collection here are the links to help.
