Whatever It Takes to be United in Christ s Love: through our faith, our families, and our community is our new motto at Marietta First Baptist Church! God has called us to live like it is written in Psalm 133:1, How good and pleasant is it when brothers live together in harmony. We are continuing with the new sermon series Whatever It Takes: We Must Be Ambassadors For Christ through the month of August. In the month of July we had another great month of ministry. We had some amazing worship services and many from our church family went out on mission! We had 41 missionaries in Kentucky that worked in the community, worked with children, and did construction at Big Creek. We had 4 people go to Costa Rica and serve with Dr. Bill Cashion. They had over 190 people come to Christ. More than anything we have seen God truly bless our church! I cannot wait until the month of August. We have Student 4:12 Day on August 19th where we have a chance to thank all of our student leaders for all they do and pray specifically for every student in our church. We will have a Ignite Community outreach on Wednesday, August 15th. We are also truly excited about our Back to School Carnival that will also take place on Sunday, August 19th from 6pm- 8pm! A.W. Tozer wrote, Sometimes we get overwhelmed when we forget how big God is. As we move forward and do Whatever It Takes we cannot forget how big our God is! He is big enough to do anything and we are privileged to serve him. I want you to know that I love you, my church family and I am thankful for each of you. In Christ, Dr. Brian L. Spearman

We continue to study "How people change" by Lane & Tripp. This is a great study and we welcome members and all of the community. Currently we are studying "thorns" and how we get entangled. This study is beneficial for anyone and a blessing each week. Thanks for your prayers and support of the Set Free Ministry. Jimmy & Rhonda FAST team meeting August 22 after the evening service in the conference room Recently Pastor Brian spoke to us about GCSO private property jurisdictional rights. The local community deputies are really working hard to make our community safer for all. The GCSO is encouraging all businesses to consider this as an aid for their enforcement. One great asset of this is that it will allow GCSO to enforce all motor vehicle and traffic laws on private property. This also greatly aids during evening hours and other days when church staff may not be on campus. The safety team continues to search out many different ways to keep our campus and most importantly our people safe. Thanks for your help in this effort. Jimmy & Rhonda Please continue to pray for our local migrant workers as the hot summer continues. The water bottles and health kits really make a difference. If you or your small group would like to go out on a Sunday afternoon just let me know. Thanks for your prayers and support! His Servants, Jimmy & Rhonda
