In Memory submitted by Madelon O Neil Two connected to First Lutheran Church were ordained in May 1958. First being the Rev. Ronald Will, a son of our congregation, he was the first young man to enter the ministry from this congregation. Sponsor: The Rev. J. Henry Weissrock, Pastor of First Lutheran. Rev. Weissrock was pastor of First Lutheran Church for 18 and a half years. At that time he was the longest pastorate of any in the history of local churches. Rev. Charles Steward was in the same class of 1958, he accepted a call from First Lutheran, Upper Sandusky and served 40 years. Ronald had accepted a call that placed him in the Virgin Island, St Croix area. Also serving other places like the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Gainesville, Florida. He also served as a chaplain at the Veterans Hospital and another hospital for 20 years. Everett and Bernice Will were his parents. Rev. Ronald Will dies December 11, 1916. Ronald s wife Yvonne and children Elaine, Jean, David and Carol and grandchildren Gisela, Alex and Natalie will be at Worship on Sunday June 11 th. Ronald and Yvonne also raised a foster son, Tony. Madelon mentions the family will also be remembering her brother Mervin Will and her sister Miriam Wood, both were members here at First Lutheran before they passed, also in December 2016. Family will gather at a sale at Miriam s home June 10 th. Madelon would like to pass these words on: May others feel the Spirit and hear the call to serve the Lord! Congratulations to al recent grads!! From Upper Sandusky High School: Nathaniel Stansbery and Kayci Snow We will be recognizing graduates in June, notifications will go out. If you are a graduate or know of one we have missed, please let then office know as soon as possible!

From Jan Stoneburner: Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me, said the Lord. But, Jonah refused to fulfill God s request. Stoney and I recently attended an amazing production of the musical Jonah at Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and realized for the first time that we all have our own Ninevehs. As we sat in the unbelievable 2,000-seat, state-of-the-art theatre with its 300- foot panoramic stage watching the fearful, selfish, stubborn Jonah trying to flee God, we could actually relate to the epic story of mercy. The mammoth four-story sets featuring a fifteen-ton, GPS moveable ship, the colorful costumes, the entertaining animals, and the breathtaking underwater scene with the fortyfoot whale took our breaths away. Although the technical extravaganza was exhilarating, the final scene outside Nineveh when Jesus revealed himself to the unforgiving Jonah was powerful. The audience could actually feel God s grace when Jesus shared His message -- the love of God is always seeking to give someone another chance. Stoney and I would like to share this wonderful production so we put the DVD of Jonah produced by Sight & Sound Theatre in the church library for you to borrow. Here is the website for those interested in actually going to see the show: https://sight-sound.com/location/lancaster
