Our Saviour s Lutheran Church Sharing God s Love with All! Christ the King Sunday November 25, 2018, 9:15 am Welcome - A warm welcome to all visitors and guests. We pray that God will bless your time among us with His Word and Holy Spirit. Young children are encouraged to be in worship and activity bags are available for their use. Please sign our guest book at the back of the church before you leave. We are so glad you joined us for worship today. Confession and Forgiveness. ELW Page 94 The assembly stands. All may make the sign of the cross, the sign that is marked at baptism, as the presiding minister begins. L: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen. L: Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. Silence is kept for reflection. Most merciful God, C: we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen. The presiding minister announces God s forgiveness. L: In the mercy of almighty God, C: Amen. The service continues with gathering song.

Gathering Song The King of Glory..(vs. 1-3) led by the Praise Team The King of glory comes, The nation rejoices. Open the gates before him, Lift up your voices. Who is the King of glory, how shall we call him? He is Emmanuel, the promise of ages. The King of glory comes, The nation rejoices. Open the gates before him, Lift up your voices. In all of Galilee, in city or village He goes among his people, curing their illness The King of glory comes, The nation rejoices. Open the gates before him, Lift up your voices. Sing then of David s Son, our Saviour and brother; In all of Galilee was never another The King of glory comes, The nation rejoices. Open the gates before him, Lift up your voices. L: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. C: And also with you. Kyrie Eleison Chorus: Kyrie Eleison, on our world and on our way. Kyrie Eleison, ev ry day.

For your Spirit to guide, that you center our lives in the water and the word, that you nourish our souls with your body and blood, let us pray to the Lord, let us pray to the Lord. We Will Glorify..(vs. 1-4) Led by the Praise Team We will glorify the King of kings We will glorify the Lamb We will glorify the Lord of lords Who is the great I am Lord Jehovah reigns in majesty We will bow before His throne We will worship Him in righteousness We will worship Him alone He is Lord of Heaven, Lord of Earth He is Lord of all who live

He is Lord above the universe All praise to Him we give Hallelujah to the King of kings Hallelujah to the Lamb Hallelujah to the Lord of Lords Who is the great I am The Nicene Creed.. ELW Page 104 We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; Hhe suffered and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, And the life of the world to come. Amen. There is a wish list of gifts for TCHCC in the box. New Horizons can use personal items such as a comb & brush, soap, shampoo, deodorant, tooth brushes & paste for both adults & children. Small toys & stuffed animals are appreciated too. Financial donations are welcome also. Put them in the offering plate in an envelope marked for the cause you choose. These items are needed by November 30 th so we are starting the collections earlier this year. Thank you for your generosity for those less fortunate.

Poinsettias - Members of Our Saviour s may purchase and bring poinsettia plants to the basement prior to the Christmas Eve Services with a tag stating who donated the plant and for whom the plant is in honor or memory of. Poinsettia plants can also be ordered for $10.00. Orders need to be placed by December 9 th for delivery by Christmas Eve. We are hoping that selling poinsettia plants will make it easier for members to participate in decorating the church and make funds available for music for the Praise Team. Orders can be taken to the church office or collected in the narthex. Noisy Offering for November and December will be designated for the Heifer Project. Money collected will go to underprivileged countries for providing farmers and families with various farm animals. October s Noisy offering of $400 is going to flood victims of southern Wisconsin.
