November 16th, 2018 Cornerstone Christian School News CCS Service Project Hidden on the side of a mountain, outside Guatemala City, Casa Bernabe is home to over 100 children. Over the years Casa Bernabe has been empowered to care for hundreds of children, restoring families, and transforming orphan care. Please join us in supporting this home by donating new or gently used blue jeans. CCS will be collecting jeans from November 19th through December 19th. Book Fair Thank you to all those who participated in the book fair. Fifty percent of the sales from the book fair will be used to purchase books for the classrooms and Learning Center. A special thank you to Larissa Liu for coordinating the book fair.

Cornerstone EPC Holiday Events Thanksgiving Service: Nov. 18, 5-7pm Come and celebrate Thanksgiving with your Cornerstone family! Join us for a meal at 5:00pm followed by a service of worship, testimonies, and baptisms at 6:00pm. Kids programming will be provided for infants 3 year olds. You will not want to miss out on this wonderful evening as we give thanks for all God has blessed us with. Thanksgiving Dinner: Nov. 22, 2pm Join us for Cornerstone s 12th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Through Love INC, Fish and Loaves, and The Salvation Army, we invite members of our community to share a traditional homemade Thanksgiving Feast. Cornerstone families and others come together and we thank God for His provision to us. Last year nearly 500 gathered in Hess Hall! If you would like to volunteer, there are many opportunities. All of our volunteers are encouraged to join us for dinner, because this is not a soup kitchen type dinner! We invite you to join us for our annual Christmas concerts as fill our Sanctuary with a heartfelt new music to remind us of the meaning of Christmas. Following the concert, dessert will be served in the Celebration Center. Kids programming will be provided for infants 3 year olds. We re a very blessed congregation with an abundance of gifts including great cooks and very talented musicians & choir. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of God and His blessings with our neighbors and friends. Christmas Eve: Dec. 24, 6 & 8pm Come encounter Jesus as we celebrate the birth of Christ during our two identical Christmas Eve services. Our services will be filled with worshipful Christmas songs, a message from Pastor Chris Winans and a time to reflect on the true meaning of the Christmas season. Pizza Friday Those making donations for November 30th Dessert-Kazak Fruit/Vegetable-Kazak Please provide for 85. The Friday pizza program must be prepaid. You will not be able to pay for pizza the day it is being served because orders are called in two days before. If your child is absent on the day you have paid for, all monies will be donated to the school. Milk/water will be available for purchase daily for 40 cents. Lunch order forms are available on the kiosk outside the office door. *There are opening for donations December 7th, January 11, April 26, May 10, and May 24.
