All items need to be brought to church by Wednesday night, November 21, as we will be delivering to the agencies that night. Remember to attach your color slip or the specific color you received when you return your items. A box is available for drop off as well near the mailboxes. Traveling Nativity, December 8 & 9 The Traveling Nativity is just around the corner and we need volunteers to help the story come alive! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jon Eveland or sign up in the fellowship hall! As we approach the holiday season, we have the privilege of having many extra services and exciting events at MRC! However, this does require a little extra help. If you are willing to help in the nursery for the Thanksgiving Eve Service, Christmas Program (December 16), or the Christmas Eve Service, please sign up at the information table! Pray that all goes well and that he may have a smooth and speedy recovery. Please pray for Arlin Bylsma. His recent shoulder surgery was more extensive than they originally thought, so we pray for comfort and strength for him during his recovery. Please pray for Edna Vander Broek as she was recently hospitalized with intestinal bleeding problems. Pray for strength and comfort for her at this time. Continued prayers for Joyce G, Denny VO, Marie M, Isaac S, Brent DK, & Ruth H. **A list of current shut-ins can be found at the information table**

Wednesday Night Refuge Worship - Our next Refuge Worship will be Wednesday, November 28 from 7:25-7:55 pm. All are welcome! Come and join with your brothers and sisters in Christ as we worship our great God together! Middle School Retreat 2019 - Hidden Acres - Dayton, IA - April 5-7 - Middle School Retreat is a FUN weekend for middle school students and their adult leaders! The MSR will be at Hidden Acres Christian Center in Dayton, IA (about 1/2 hour south of Fort Dodge). Synod Youth Ministries partners with Northwestern College students to plan an AWESOME weekend of worship, large group sessions, small groups, youth group time, and of course recreation and games! The theme for this year s MSR is Grit. The definition of the word grit is courage and resolve; strength of character. Middle school students have so much to offer but are consistently pushed down by peers, by superiors, and by society. God sees everyone as worthy and strong. With God, every single person can strengthen their grit within. Power Connection 2019 - Minneapolis, MN - July 23-28 Power Connection 2019 is coming! We will again be participating in Power Connection Work Camp (July 23-26) and Power Connection weekend (July 26-28). Our desire is to provide an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to transform the beliefs of students and adult leaders into a lifestyle of faith in Jesus Christ. More details will be coming at a later date.

This event is very special for many in NW Iowa, and many look forward to attending. For Sr. High, On Wednesday, December 5, we will be prepping for Traveling Nativity, and also the morning of Saturday, December 8. Sign ups for various roles are available in the fellowship hall. Sr. High Summer International Mission Trip July 13-20 Eaglecrest Alaska Missions We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Eaglecrest Alaska Missions (Sutton, Alaska) for our summer mission trip (July 13-20). Though it is not international per se, it is a great distance away, and not part of the lower 48 states and there is great need in the Sutton community for us to come, serve those in need and experience the love of Christ in a much different culture than our own! We will be serving by participating in light construction, relationally with families in need, winterizing homes, chopping wood, potentially helping with a VBS and Summer Day Camp, and perhaps other needs that arise. So far, we have about 30 students who are interested in going, which is awesome! The cost for the trip has not yet been determined, as we await word on the NEXT Gen RCA Scholarship, fundraisers, and airfare costs.
