SEMESTER 1 YEAR 7 Religious Education - Programme Please be very aware that many of the students will not have any Christian education, therefore it is important to gradually introduce some of the basic content. Start each lesson with a prayer there are prayers in their College Diary use these for the first few weeks. Teach the students how to do the Sign of the Cross, as many would never have done this. It is not necessary for students who are not catholic to participate in the Sign of the Cross; however it is very important that all students stand quietly and respectfully during prayer. The students must bring all basic equipment to each lesson this includes: Writing equipment, this includes a journal, pens, pencils etc. A display file, with their name clearly written on, this stays in the RE box somewhere in the classroom and should be used for assessments. BYOD for Yr 7, Ipad (2017 for Yr 8-10) College Diary this must be with the students at ALL times. Textbook or KWL App which is the primary text to be used. The following programme is a GUIDE to the content you need to teach/focus on each week.
