Page 5 CHRISTMAS CARDS You are invited to drop off your Christmas cards for our church family in the BIG Christmas box in the Narthex beginning November 27 th. Your cards will be sorted and available for you in the mailboxes (labelled according to last names.) Please check your mail each week. All you will have to do is put the name on the envelope no stamp and no address needed. We will provide a list of your church family. The list is names that may likely be able to benefit from picking their cards up at church. Please drop off your cards if you would like during the week and check your mail! Page 8 YOUTH NEWS PILGRIMAGE 16 REDEEMED: For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life. Eph. 2:10 12 Youth (6 th 12 th grades) along with 3 Leaders embarked on a journey to Pilgrimage 16 where over 5,200 youth gathered to worship our loving God. We listened to testimonies, (teens who have overcome real obstacles and just want to share their story), we shared our own stories during our nightly devotions, watched liturgical dances and praised God from the great house band through music, and was blessed with messages from a very passionate speaker, Romal Tune. Thank you to the church and parents for supporting the youth be able to attend this wonderful event each year. And to the youth who choose to go.a weekend worship experience that calls everyone to a new or stronger faith in Jesus, challenging everyone to share God s love in word and action. LOVE FEAST YOUTH HELPERS NEEDED Youth: PLEASE LET Pam KNOW IF YOU ARE WILLING and ABLE TO HELP SERVE DURING THE LOVE FEAST ON DECEMBER 11 th! We will process in during our opening hymn AND WE WILL HELP FILL THE HARVEST TABLE.. COME with fruits or vegetables to decorate our harvest table. The children will process in with their harvest. The food will be taken to the Christian Help Center. Bring your fresh fruit and vegetables Sunday morning. Page 11 PRESCHOOL NEWS Our Monthly Bible Verse: You should pray for kings and for all who have authority. 1 Timothy 2:2 What a great Fall we are having. Enjoying our wonderful playground. The Leaves are Falling Down... Baking breads and sampling them. I m thankful for... Reading and talking about families and looking at pictures of our families. Long Memorial Preschool families praising God together at our special Thanksgiving Service. Our Thanksgiving Feasts. Pilgrims and Indians. Going on Turkey Hunts. Looking forward to December activities to prepare our hearts for God s gift of love at Christmas. May your Thanksgiving be a Very Happy Family time! LONG MEMORIAL PRESCHOOL On Tuesday, November 22 nd - A FAMILY SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING will be held in the Church Sanctuary at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Jeff Nash will provide leadership for the service and our 4 s will sing songs of Thanksgiving. At the beginning of this service, Long Memorial Preschool children will process in with canned food which will be taken to the Christian Help Center to help those in need. Following the service the children will celebrate with A FEAST down in the Harris Fellowship Hall. COME JOIN US! YOU WILL LOVE IT!
