A special welcome back and Thank You to Rev. Lana Windsor for coming out this morning and for the wonderful message she is presenting to us today during the Thank-Offering Sunday. Lana and her husband Jeff have been married for 2 years this January. They both lost their spouses within 7 months of each other. Jeff was married for 35 years and Lana had been married to her husband for 36 years. Their families had been friends for 30 years. They know God has put them together to do kingdom work. Between the two they have four children and 9 grandchildren. Lana taught Missionettes for 20 years at Assembly of God in Brunswick Maryland. She received her Associates Degree in Ministry in 2005 from International Seminary in Plymouth Florida. She was involved with Dottie Wilson ministries for 11 years feeding the hungry and clothing the poor. Lana is currently an assistant Pastor at Strong Tower Christian Church with Pastors Darren & Angie Gerald in Frederick. Hanging of the Greens Please plan to join us after worship next Sunday, November 25th for a Hanging of the Greens brunch. Kindly bring a dish to share. Can t think of a dish to bring? What about donuts? Sticky buns? There is always fruit, Jell-O salad, or potato items that seem to be big hits. Have lunch, enjoy the fellowship, and then hit the mall to begin your Christmas shopping. Mitten Tree The mittens are on the tree for the GVCS Holiday Toy Shoppe. Please stop by and choose one or two mittens. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT for all items to be unwrapped and returned to Glade UCC no later than Sunday, December 2nd. We will be delivering the gifts to the Walkersville Town Hall that day after worship. Help make a child in our community have a nice Christmas with the gifts we provide to the GVCS. 5
