St. Anthny n the Lake Cmmn Leadership Meeting Minutes March 12, 2018 The Cmmn Leadership evening pened with Vespers at 6:30 PM. The meeting began at 6:50 with Standing Cmmittee and Pastral Cuncil members in attendance. Father Tny welcmed the grup. He began by acknwledging the utstanding effrts related t the parish s Lenten Missin fferings and Cnfirmatin Retreat. He nted that he has received verwhelmingly psitive feedback. Father Tny expressed his gratitude t the Missin and the Retreat Planning Teams. Father Tny prvided an update n Jubilee planning. The Picnic Cmmittee met recently and the fcus f the Jubilee will be gratitude and celebratin. The picnic event will be catered by Zilli s s as t nt place s much f the preparatin, serving and clean-up tasks n parishiners. There will be tw bands and a raffle. Stay tuned fr further develpments! Father Tny nted that we cntinue t wrk n develpment f ur Parish Cvenant. We are n track t sign and celebrate ur new cvenant n the weekend f June ninth and tenth. We will bless and install the cvenant int a physical marker, ur cvenant rck n June 30th, the day f ur parish s ne hundredth anniversary. Father Tny prvided the fllwing additinal updates: -We re cntinuing ur wrk n the Parish Directry. -Landscaping at the frnt f the parish is being updated. -Ben B. Kathie A and Father Tny depart n April furth fr the first three day gathering fr the Vibrant Faith Initiative in Baltimre. -The nminatin prcess fr new Pastral Cuncil and Standing Cmmittee members will begin sn. -Father Tny will give an update at all masses this weekend n the Grw in Yur Heart Campaign. There will als be a bulletin insert -Fr. Tny will participate in a fundraiser at Cardinal Stritch University, Drinking with the Saints Please cnsider supprting this event. Father Tny asked the grup t cntinue t pray fr dear clleague and friend Jane McLaughlin. Bb Bluhm made an annuncement n behalf f the Building & Grunds Cmmittee. He described that we have 270 yards f berms that require upkeep. The Building and Grunds Cmmittee is asking families t adpt 40 ft sectins. Training sessins are scheduled fr March 16 at 2:30 p.m. and March 18 at nn. Adults are als welcme. Servers are scheduled fr the Triduum. Laurie is investigating a scheduling applicatin fr ministry use replacing Sign Up Genius. Successin Planning Tny Wendrf reminded the cmmittee that there are three Parish Cuncil psitins up fr electin this year. The cmmittee is encuraged t nminate frm the cmmittee r ther parish members. Brian Felsmann said there was a psitin pen fr Chairpersn f the Prayer and Wrship Cmmittee fr anyne wh is interested. Anyne wh has questins abut the chairpersn s duties shuld cntact Brian. Brian plans t remain n the cmmittee representing the Eucharistic Adratin ministry. Planning fr Hly Week/Easter Laurie reprted that the Hly Week wrship aide is ready. It was a hrrible experience with many breakdwns f the cpy machine. She is explring the pssibility f having an utside printer (LPI) print the wrship aides in the future. Servers are scheduled. Barb Knepper will put ut sign up sheets fr ther ministries. Palm Sunday Liturgies start in the gathering space. Oil bearers n Hly Thursday will be the catechumens. Representatives frm ur Partners in Mercy will participate in the feet washing. There are enugh micrphnes fr the Gd Friday Passin Readers. On March 11, new Eucharistic Cups were blessed at the 10:45 a.m. Mass. We are grateful t Tm and Carline Gerger fr the dnatin f these beautiful new cups, given in memry f their sn Nick. Old vessels that aren t t badly bent r dented will be kept in the wrking sacristy fr when there is need fr additinal Extrardinary Ministers f the Eucharist. Year-End Reprt t Parish Cuncil Brian and Laurie presented the year-end reprt t the Parish Cuncil n February 26. There were n cmplaints. Brian will send ut the finished cpy f the reprt t cmmittee members. There was a discussin abut the need fr a Funeral Crdinatr a g-t persn n the day f a funeral. Sme additins t accmplishments nt previusly nted included: church bags fr the children t use during Mass; faith wrks has added mre and different service pprtunities; preschl centers at La Petite; and prviding enrichment fr yuth during the Missin which was lead fr the first time by a wman. One nted challenge is the preparatin fr the Gala and the Missin in the same year. We reviewed gals in a brainstrming type sessin with regard t the types f faith develpment pprtunities n ur wish lists. We learned that many f these things are already in place r fferings with a similar purpse exist. Fr thers, we have the structure in place but wuld need additinal staff r facilitatrs t realize. Sme tpics discussed were hlding an alpha grup fr high schl senirs and their utside-f-parish friends; t cultivate mre invlvement f ur parish s faithful men as facilitatrs and vlunteers in frmatin pprtunities fr all yuth, and particularly t serve as examples fr ther bys, teens, and yung men; place mre emphasis n service (nt tied t service hurs) in faith frmatin activities amng the parish yuth, facilitating pprtunities fr teens t seek their unique sense f purpse with their faith at the center f this evlving prcess. An actin item fr cmmittee members is t email their ntes re: accmplishments, prblems/challenges, and gals t Ann befre April 9th. The faith frmatin staff,

with their intimate and cmprehensive knwledge f existing prgrams and nging effrts will draft ur cmmittee s reprt with these suggestins in mind.
