3 rd Annual FREE Thanksgiving Dinner! Pastor Andy and Sally Hilla will be preparing and hosting a free Thanksgiving Dinner at the United Presbyterian Church of Boyden at 12:00 Noon on Thanksgiving Day. This dinner is intended for ANYONE in the Boyden community who would otherwise NOT be sharing a Thanksgiving meal with friends or family. We do not want anyone to spend Thanksgiving Day alone, so we are offering this completely free option to everyone and anyone. All we ask is that you call the church (725-2220) or the Pastor s phone (725-6006) and leave a message to let us know that you are coming. We want to be sure to have more than enough food for all to enjoy. The menu will include but will not be limited to Baked Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, beverages, and of course pumpkin pie for desert. If you are physically unable to attend, please call and let us know that as well and we will deliver a dinner to your home (within the Boyden community). May God bless you and yours in spectacular ways in the coming year! 6

The Love INC Heart of Christmas Event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec 8 th from 9:30 11 a.m. in the FLC at Faith Reformed Church in Rock Valley. This will be a family event which involves various fun activities such as cookie decorating, presentation of the Christmas story, hot chocolate and snacks, and the opportunity for families to receive a keepsake Christian Christmas book. The families who participate in the Christmas gift program will also receive their gifts on this day. We need volunteers to help at the various stations with the children and with set up/clean up. The Love INC Christmas trees will be located in Rock Valley at M&H True Value and in Hull at Pizza Ranch again this year. The timeline will be a bit sooner as we want to distribute the gifts at the Heart of Christmas event. Look for the trees with hearts on them already by Nov 19. Please limit your spending to $25 and only purchase the item listed on the tag as each child will receive one gift. Gifts should be wrapped and returned to the trees with the original heart tag attached no later than Dec 4 th. Thank you for your support! To begin a prayer chain You can either call Max Moret at 348-2929 or Teresa Harms/church office at 725-2366. 2018 Consistory Executive Committee Vice President Marlin Uittenbogaard Clerk Les Starkenburg Assistant Clerk Kathy Ver Meer Chair of Deacons Jamie Koele Treasurer Paul Moret Assistant Treasurer Brad Van Roekel Building & Grounds Jason Fykstra Music & Worship Kathy Ver Meer Outreach & Assimilation Bill Noack Mission Task Force Vice President & Deacons Discipleship 2018 Elders 2018 Deacons Brent Fedders ( 18) Jason Fykstra ( 18) Bill Noack ( 20) Ken Hoogendoorn ( 18) Les Starkenburg ( 18) Jamie Koele ( 19) Marlin Uittenbogaard ( 18) Paul Moret ( 19) Kathy Ver Meer ( 19) Brad Van Roekel ( 20) Phone: 712-725-2366/email: frcboyds@premieronline.net Webpage frcboyden.com Pastor Dave s cell phone: 507-920-6588; Pastor Dave s email address: poppendpp@hotmail.com 8
