All high school seniors must apply for FOFMBC scholarship by completing an application (located on FOF website) no later than 15 Sep 2013. If completed after the deadline date, the scholarship amount will be decreased. 2. Graduating students must be a member in good standing, no later than one year prior to graduation (30 June 2013) and attend a school of higher education. Students must adhere to all guidelines established by the Scholarship Ministry to receive a scholarship up to $500.00. a. Must volunteer at least once with the Homeless/Feeding Ministry of the Fountain (based on Matthew 25:35-41). 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: b. NOTE: Each student will be expected to write a short essay about their experience helping the Homeless/Feeding Ministry (***see attachment***). 3. Must be a member and or volunteer/participant with one additional ministry other than the Homeless/Feeding Ministry. The President of that ministry must validate membership/participation and or involvement before the deadline date. 4. Students are expected to participate in all fundraising activities sponsored by the Scholarship Ministry or notify the Scholarship Ministry President why they are unable to participate. 5. The final acceptance letter from the post secondary school you plan to attend must be submitted to the Scholarship Ministry or Church Office (see attached schedule). If you don t have your official letter by the due date, contact a member of the Scholarship Ministry. NOTE: If you plan to attend post secondary school during the Spring semester (Jan 2015) instead of fall semester 2014, you must notify the Scholarship Ministry President by 31 Oct 2014. a. Graduates must attend a post secondary school on a full time basis, no later than Jan 2015. 6. Graduates who apply for a scholarship and who will attend a post secondary school upon graduation will be awarded scholarships and bibles (see attached schedule). All scholarship recipients (or family member) should be present to receive their Bible and scholarship. 7. Graduates who successfully meet all scholarship ministry requirements/deadlines and have a minimum of a 3.0 high school GPA at graduation are eligible to compete for a laptop computer. Final high school transcripts must be submitted no later than Sunday, 29 June 2014 before the computer is awarded. 8. Students must meet all Fountain of Faith Scholarship Ministry requirements and deadlines or be subject to a lesser total amount of scholarship. 9. SCHOLARSHIP CHECK and COMPUTER MUST BE RETURNED TO THE CHURCH IF STUDENT DOES NOT ATTEND COLLEGE.
