Historical Note: Lynn Morrow was born in Mexico, Missouri, in February 1946. He earned a bachelors and master s degrees in history at Southwest Missouri State University in 1975 and 1980 respectively. He was research historian for the Center for Ozarks Studies, SMSU, 1977-1982, where he met and married Kristen Kalen in October 1981. As Kalen and Morrow, they operated a historic preservation consulting firm, 1983-1990, conducting cultural resource management surveys and preparing nominations for the National Register of Historic Places for sites in numerous counties in Missouri. In July 1990, Morrow became supervisor of Missouri s newlycreated Local Records Preservation Program at the Missouri State Archives, now a national model for federal and state records associations. He retired in 2012.
