Update On SAJE Quilts Your generosity enabled us to raise over $1,200 on the twin size quilt raffle this spring. The proceeds have gone toward the services of our nurse, Deb Goldfeder. The lucky winner was Don Dippel, a longtime member of Advent Episcopal. Rumor has it that Don was one of the first people to buy a ticket, and yet it managed to work its way to the top. Congratulations, Don, and thank you for participating. The quilters are almost finished with their second quilt. This time it is a dramatic queen size. We will begin our raffle on this quilt at the Route 66 Car Cruise on August 13th. You may recall that SAJE was given a $2,000 grant by the Crestwood/Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce two years ago from the proceeds of the Car Cruise that year. Kill two birds with one stone. Have fun at the car cruise events and get your raffle tickets EARLY. Apparently that s the way to get a winning ticket. Thank you for your support of SAJE. See you at a SAJE event. There are many to choose from. Criminal Justice Ministry Trivia Night On Saturday, August 20, 2016, the Criminal Justice Ministry will host its 5 th Annual Trivia Night at St. James the Greater Gym, 6401 Wade Avenue in Dogtown. Registration fee is $200 for a table of eight and includes beer and soda (outside food and drink also welcome). The doors will open at 6:00 pm, and trivia master Mark Arminio will kick off the questioning at 7:00 pm. This fun evening will also include plenty of games, raffles, and cash prizes. All proceeds benefit CJM, an independent non-profit organization affiliated with the Archdiocese of St. Louis serving individuals and families affected by crime and the criminal justice system. Contact Jeff at BTC at (314)524-0500 or Christi at (314) 881-3090 or visit cjmstlouis.org to make reservations. Or you thinking about your summer vacation?
