MANATEE LODGE NO. 31F&AM TRESTLEBOARD OCT. 2017 Lodge, New and Improved! Look at that picture above, its an old picture. The front of the building has been landscaped beautifully by Bro. Tom Carter, come check it out! If you have trouble making it to Lodge or need a ride please reach out to an Officer and we will try our best to get you here. Manatee Lodge No. 31 402 15th Street East Bradenton, Florida 34206 Fare Thee Well! My Brothers, Its hard to find the words, over the last 5 years or so being an officer of Manatee 31 has become a major part of my life. I let it saturate my life, and always tried to give it my best. I joined to be apart of something, to feel less alone in this world. I never dreamed that my photo would one day grace the wall of past masters, I never imagined the bonds I would create. It s often said You get out of Freemasonry, what you put into it., but its never mentioned that the dividends are returned three fold. It s been such an honor to sit as your Worshipful Master this year. I started this year with a long list of goals and ideas, and while I wasn t able to cross them all off, I feel nothing but pride in what we were able to accomplish together. Togetherness is the lesson I learned most as Master, and I am so thankful to each and every one of you who took any time at all to help make this Lodge so great. The level of affection and caring at 31 sets it apart, as I have never felt so loved, and have loved so many. I don t have the room to list everyone who have touched my heart in some way, but am grateful for the friendships I ve earned, and how many of you have made Alex & I feel like family. As my footprints in the East fade and I journey Northward, I have highest hopes for the lodge as it is in the best of hands! Fare thee well, W:. Kyle B. Bachman

Ron Baber - 941-748-7938 Letter from Worshipful Elect Tom Carter Brothers the end of the year is here. We are very sorry to see Worshipful Bachman moving north, but send our best wishes with him. I am proud and humble to be chosen as next year s Worshipful Master. I will continue to work hard to keep the great regard the district and state have for Manatee 31. It is a tough path to follow, we have had some of the best Worshipful masters in the zone. My goals are to keep working on the facelift of the building and keep it in as good of condition as we can. Also we will have masonic education at ALL meetings. We have setup a new method to take better care of our students and with help from RW Baber as our Lodge Mentor we will continue to make this a priority. We have several charity events on the schedule and welcome new ideas in our monthly strategy meeting on the 4th Monday of every month at 6pm open to anyone. Thank you again for your belief in me I will try to live up to your expectations. Tom Carter Freeborn W:. Jim Fleming You have taken the first step over its threshold, the first step toward the inner sanctuary and heart of the Temple. You are in the path that leads up the slope of the mountain of Truth; and it depends on whether you will advance or remain stationary. Imagine not that you will become a Mason by learning what is commonly referred to as the work, or even by becoming familiar with our traditions. Masonry has a history, a literature, and a philosophy. Its allegories and traditions will teach you much, but much is to be sought elsewhere. A few rudimentary lessons in architecture, a few universally admitted maxims of morality, a few unimportant traditions, whose real meaning is unknown or misunderstood, will no longer satisfy the earnest inquirer of Masonic truth. Let who so is content with these seek to climb no higher. He who desires to understand the harmonious and beautiful proportions of Freemasonry must read, study, reflect, and digest. Taken from Freeborn by James D. Fleming Reprinted by Permission NPD, DUES, LYPMGS This year we lost close to 16 members due to NPD (Non-Paid Dues). Don t let this happen to you brothers. It s easier then ever to make sure you ve got your dues in. Just sign in to https://glfl.circumscribe.net/ where you can pay with check or credit card. While the secretary can still take these methods as well, he is going through the same method you would, so take control! Further more when paying your dues, please consider making the contribution to Let your pennies make good sense, this year we were way behind our goal. Most likely due to the raising of the dues as well as the new payment portal. We re doing our best to come up with other methods of raising our share but your contributions goes a long way to insure our masonic home gets the funding it needs.
