This is the time of year we are receiving or buying our new calendars for 2019. It s also time to mark our Church Campout Weekend on the new calendar.our weekend is August 9-11, 2019. We have all 19 sites reserved for MRC. Individual site reservations may be made by calling Son-Life Office at 269-792-2081, or emailing Joyce at office@son-lifecamp.org or by sending in a registration form and you can ask Linda Hammer for a form. A 50% deposit is required when making reservations. The rates for 2019 are the same as last year, $38.00 per weekend night (Friday - Saturday), $33.00 Midweek (Sunday-Thursday). Looking forward to filling up the campground and making more memories!!! THANK YOU! We delivered, with the help of John & Judy Nieuwenhuis, 95 shoe boxes to the collection center. Praise God! I was overwhelmed by the amount of participation and offers to help. We have a wonderful church. I would also like to thank those that participated in the production of the cookbook. It turned out great with many wonderful recipes. We have many extras and they make great Christmas gifts so if anyone would like to pick some up please let us know. ~Wes & Cindy Bloemsma For our December Meeting the Prayer Shawl Ministry is going to tour the Allegan Pregnancy Center. We know Christmas is a time for giving and we are excited to present our Christmas gifts to them. Many ladies in our congregation have given their time to hem receiving blankets, make matching burp cloths, knitted and crochet newborn hats for the babies. This has been a fun and exciting time for us and we are looking forward to sharing these gifts. We have a tour arranged for Thursday, December 6, at 10:30 a.m. We will carpool from our church parking lot at 10:00 a.m. This tour is open to anyone who would like to join us and see the Pregnancy Center. Maybe weather permitting we can extend our day and have lunch together too. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the Narthex. If you have any questions, please call Linda Hammer 269-568-0163 (note: this is a cell phone not Hammers home phone). Our next scheduled Prayer Shawl working meeting will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the Friendship Area. Please mark your new calendars. Don t forget to put your bid on the quilt in the Friendship Area. This is a fundraiser for the new building project.
