Moving Forward Towards Leading Together and Global Contribution The vision of the EAOrt Area Office is that By 2020 everyone in the East Asia Orient Area knows someone who truly follows Jesus. The snapshot of the area is as follows: There are more than 400 million people in the EAOrt Area. Among them 43% are Muslim; 30% are Buddhist; and 22% are Shintoist. The Christian population is 5% with 70,000 churches. We have 1,474 full-time staff members, 304 associates, and 315 volunteers. There are a total of 1,823 campuses in the area, and we are active in 362 campuses. We also have 339 IRs, 160 STINTers, along with 5,125 shortterm mission trippers (both local and international). We have two strong stage 3 countries and two strong stage 2 countries. We expect that all of them will be playing roles alongside the Area Leadership Team in leading the area ministry related to our global contribution. We pray that at the end of 2013, Taiwan will become stage 3, and Mongolia will show stronger indigenous funding in order to move into stage 3. We also expect Japan and Pakistan to become stage 2 within three years, with great models of campus ministry. We also expect as a result of our mission efforts up to 2020, that the entire Campus Ministry will have spiritual movements, and one million Cell Churches will exist, with 160,000,000 people exposed to the gospel. Please pray for our vision and leadership team. God bless. A good place to get a small but flavorful taste of God s work, deserving fully alert prayer EAOrt LLM 777 Temple-Building Prayer Scripture passages related to Temple-building, which God gave to the Leader-led Movements Team: 1. And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. (Zechariah 12:10a) 2. So take this seriously. The LORD has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong, and do the work. (I Chronicles 28:10) 3. O LORD our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor your holy name comes from you! It all belongs to you! (I Chronicles 29:16) A. Vision Seeing Kingdom leaders raised up and unified from seven mountains/ domains of seven countries, that they would be light and salt for the Lord with the same heart in societies, ultimately bringing transforming impact to the respective societies and nations! B. Goal To call on the body of Christ to join the 777 Temple-Building Prayer; to entreat the Lord to reclaim the seven mountains/domains (arts/ entertainment/sports, business, religion, media, education, family, and government) of seven EAOrt countries (Pakistan, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore) for Himself- -individually and corporately--so that we would see societies and countries transformed and prepare for the great harvest! Thanksgiving for Taiwan CCC Prayer Ministry Team A Testimony of Experiencing the True Meaning of Prayer the foundation of every ministry Although every staff member knew the importance of prayer, we had lost the passion for prayer over the years. As a result we did not always experience God s great power in our lives and ministries. In the year 2011, anxiety, depression and even frustration visited us in several ministry teams and team members. After trying several ways to overcome these difficulties, some of our leaders admitted the truth that there was no way out, except to rely on our Lord. Finally there were some pioneers among us who were willing to seek Him and be renewed in His love. Praise God! Rest In June 2009, the Prayer Ministry Team was reformed. There were three of us, and we started learning to work together as a team. From then on God used us to help with organizing and leading every Worldwide Day of Prayer. We held three staff prayer retreats. Every two weeks we published a prayer newsletter named PUSH, as a prayer resource to help build prayer movements in the lives of staff members and disciples. We also held prayer seminars in several churches. Our roles to play were in supplying our staff with the spiritual resources as well as praying for those who came to us for prayer support and healing through prayer. But if we kept on giving without receiving, we definitely would dry up and become tired out! The message of rest in God s Word was applied to our situation. It became our energy source as we prayed daily for our staff and all those people in need. It also helped us to slow down while we were so occupied with our routine planning, program planning, and/or outreach activities. Renewal Praise the Lord! He knew our needs so well. One day a staff member discovered a wonderful resource, 40 Days of Seeking Jesus Heart, on the Global Through this activity we hoped and prayed that God would be our Teacher, Great Healer and True Leader in our lives, instead of looking to ministry/personal goals, planning, and dependence upon ministry or people for every need. Prayer Movement website just what we were looking for to help meet staff members spiritual need. We translated the material into Mandarin, our native language, and sent it out to the staff and disciples with great excitement and joy! We encouraged each individual and every team to use these inspiring materials in personal or group prayer 5 times. The prayerful expectation was that the 40 Days would help staff members and disciples to refocus on the rightful, lofty role of our King Jesus. Through this activity we hoped and prayed that God would be our Teacher, Great Healer and True Leader in our lives, instead of looking to ministry/personal goals, planning, and dependence upon ministry or people for every need. It was very encouraging that during this period many staff members set aside ministry time to rest and seek the heart of our Lover Christ alone. We were glad to experience the confidence that it was the Holy Spirit giving us the desire to wait on Him and His timing and walk with Him to renew our lives. Revival Thank God it is He who wants us to take rest. We need to emphasize and remind ourselves of God s truth that to take rest does not mean we are lazy. It does not mean we are not good workers nor that we are not loved by God. God taught us something of the true meaning of prayer - the foundation of our lives and ministry. After waiting upon the Lord for over half a year, we got new direction for 2012, regarding nationwide prayer ministry. And we caught the vision of our ministry s main role in helping to build and accelerate spiritual movements of Taiwan CCC. While we are heading toward training as many prayer warriors as we can for His Kingdom in 2012, we need your prayers. Please pray that no matter what difficulties we face, we will fix our eyes on the Lord who calls us and who is the King of the whole universe.
