FINANCIAL DEVELOPER JOB OPENING MCA BoT is inviting applications from individuals interested to work as a Financial Developer with the MCA. This person will be responsible the planning, implementation, managing donor information assuring accuracy of all data input, edits, and postings of contributions. He will work closely with the MCA boards and will manage communication for fundraising efforts including planned giving, annual giving and major giving campaigns for MCA. This individual will identify opportunities in partnership with community elders to leverage donor interests in supporting the creation or growth of the MCA campus. This individual will utilize the MCA donor contact database to prepare mailings, send donor statements, and to create reports and analysis for finance and marketing efforts. Preference will be given to candidates with excellent communication skills, prior experience in gift planning and/or fund development, proficiency of using fund raising software. SPRING QUARTER 2014 ARABIC & ISLAMIC SCIENCES (March 24-May 25) Note: All timings will change due to daylight savings time or changes in prayer timings. All courses are both online and onsite. (All times are Pacific Time) Courses Offered at MCA, Santa Clara, CA, Fitness Room SUNDAYS Arabic 6C (online & onsite) Arabic Grammar and Balaaghah; analysis of Quranic passages; translation of texts into English. Prerequisite: Good knowledge of Arabic Grammar. Recommended Texts: the Quran, Selections from the Glorious Quran, Intermediate Modern Standard Arabic, Arabic Rhetoric by Hussein Abdul-Raof. Time: Sundays 12:30-1:30 Fee: $130 Arabic 1D (online & onsite) This class is an introduction to Arabic grammar. It covers modern standard Arabic and classical Arabic but does not touch upon colloquial Arabic. The goal is mostly to eventually give the student the ability to read and under stand directly the Quran, hadith and other important Islamic literature. Prerequisite: Arabic 1A-1C Text: Elementary Modern Standard Arabic Volume I by Peter Aboud and others. Time: Sundays 2:00-3:30 Fee: $160 Fiqh of Family Relations II (online & onsite) This quarter plans on concentrating on: The limits and extent of obedience to one s parents; obligations towards siblings and other relatives.
