FR. MICHAEL GAITLEY SERIES The One Thing is Three How the Most Holy Trinity Explains Everything With humor and ease, Father Michael Gaitley, MIC, deftly unlocks the "one thing," the key to the Church's wisdom, and the greatest mystery of the Catholic faith: the Most Holy Trinity. Far from being a scholarly or academic read, The "One Thing" is Three makes deep theology accessible to every-day Catholics. What's more, it makes even what's familiar or forgotten appear in a way that's new, exciting, and relevant. Thus, The "One Thing" is Three brings its readers a unique and powerful experience of the faith. (Please register by December 17, 2018, to avoid a $10 late fee) 10 Week Course Start Date: January 8, 2019 Start Date: January 8, 2019 Cost of Materials: $30.00 Cost of Materials: $30.00 You Did It to Me Fr. He then enriches these Scriptural texts on mercy with the practical insights of St. Pope John Paul II, St. Faustina, and Pope Francis. He also has a very fertile imagination in bringing to life practical ways of implementing these works of mercy in our own individual lives, in our parish ministries as well as in the workplace, together with a plan of action for making these works of mercy concrete and livable. BIBLE STUDY AND GUIDED PRAYER Paul s Letters to the Colossians and the Ephesians: The Unity of Christ with His Church The relationship between Christ as the Head of the Church and we who are the members of the Church, which is His Body, will be explored. But the question that seems constant is how does this come to happen in my life? What's my part? What's is God's part? The firm experience of God's daily presence seems almost illusive or nearly impossible to observe. The Twelve week, Finding Christ in the World Ignatian prayer guided experience strengthens our ability to recognize God's presence in more concrete ways. Participants are guided through a daily prayer experience using Scripture readings along with reflection helps and guiding aids. The time needed for daily prayer is approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Participants, will gather as a group each week to reflect on their experiences. Facilitated by a prayer guide, participants will be guided in ways to better notice God's frequent daily promptings. Participants will have opportunity to share their experiences (if they so choose), ask questions and hear from others who are on a similar journey.
