OUR LADY OF THE MOUNT CHURCH PARISH FINANCIAL RESULTS FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2018 As we present our Parish Year-End Financial Results below, I want to thank you for all your generosity and your sacrifice. It is by our conscientious stewardship as a Christian community that we are able to meet our financial obligations to the Diocese as well as maintain our facilities and ministries and remain a vibrant parish. Thank you for everything you do. Below is the Statement of Revenue and Expenses for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2018. Our overall result was a net loss of $15,122. The main cause of this deficit is due to a decrease from last year of 5.4% in our weekend collections. On the expense side of the statement, through prudent controls the expenses were only minimally higher than last year. All parishioners of Our Lady of the Mount and those making the Five First Saturdays Devotion are invited after the 9:00 am Mass in the chapel on the First Saturday of every month to join in the recitation of the Holy Rosary and fifteen minutes of meditation on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary for the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The next date is October 6th. The meditation will be on the Luminous Mysteries. The Five First Saturdays This devotion was revealed by the Blessed Virgin Mary to Sister Lucia (one of the Fatima visionaries) on December 10th, 1925 while she was kneeling in the Convent Chapel. Mother Mary appeared with the Child Jesus and spoke these words: Announce in my name that I promise to help at the hour of death, with the graces needed for salvation, whoever on the First Saturday of five consecutive months shall: 1) confess* and receive Holy Communion, 2) recite five decades of the Rosary, and 3) keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me.
