Order of Service Gathering Song Morning has broken CH 212 Call to Worship Leader: All: Leader: All: Here we are: Creator and created, life-giver and life-given, maker and made. We breathe deep and feel the life in our lungs! We open our eyes and see the wonders all around! Listen, the Lord is here just as we gather in his presence. Let us worship, for God is worth our praise. Praise Praise the Spirit in creation CH 588 Tune: Neander (CH 475) Welcome and Church Notices Opening Prayer The Lord s Prayer Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us the wrong we have done, as we forgive those who have wronged us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.

All Age Message A Perfect Place Praise For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen. When God made the garden of creation Words & music: Paul Booth 1977 Stainer & Bell Ltd 1. When God made the garden of creation, he filled it full of his love; when God made the garden of creation, he saw that is was good. There s room for you, and room for me, and room for ev ryone: for God is a Father who loves his children, and gives them a place in the sun. When God made the garden of creation, he filled it full of his love. 2. When God made the hamper of creation, he filled it full of his love; when God made the hamper of creation, he saw that is was good. There s food for you, and food for me, and food for ev ryone: but often we re greedy, and waste God s bounty, so some don t get any at all. When God made the hamper of creation, he filled it full of his love.

3. When God made the fam ly of creation, he made it out of his love; when God made the fam ly of creation, he saw that is was good. There s love for you, and love for me, and love for ev ryone: but sometimes we re selfish, ignore our neighbours, and seek our own place in the sun. When God made the fam ly of creation, he made it out of his love. 4. Children leave for Sunday Club Readings Genesis, chapter 2, verses 4b-25 Reflection Praise Great God, your love has called us here CH 484 Message The Offering Living Beyond the Shadow of Shame Offering Praise As a man and woman we were made CH 700

Prayer of Dedication Prayers for Others and Ourselves Please remain standing God, hold us accountable in the days to come for all that we have contributed to the work of creation. And in accepting your invitation to be co-creators with you, may we build beauty and strength in community. May these gifts of money be used in that work, and may we commit ourselves to your creation, now and always. Amen. Praise Look forward in faith CH 237 The Blessing Sung Amen Please remain standing

Paradise A desirable residence made by the hands of God himself! No previous owners. A self-sufficient residence with free flowing waters bringing lush growth to a rich array of fruits, vegetables, and plants of all kinds. This paradise becomes a place of encounter. God creates his own companion, someone like him, to share the joys and sorrows and to cultivate the garden together. God bringing it to life and man doing lots of the spadework, each complimenting the other, Growing together in understanding, deepening relationship, acknowledging the gift of life. In the centre of the garden grew the sacred trees, brimming with fruit to eat, overhanging with knowledge and wisdom, and cascading with right and wrong choices that could lead to life or death. Paradise became the source of life for all the earth. Its life giving waters flowing North, East, South and West. Paradise should have been a blessing for all, a haven for all of life. But, the relationship between God and Man remained fragile. They did not fully understand one another. They longed for something deeper, more intimate, more fulfilling. Man envied God and his status, yet man and God did not fully understand each other. There were tensions between them as they battled for superiority, rules and limitations harboured that understanding. Death awaited man if he ate from the tree of knowledge. Yet God and man were different always were and always will be. Yet the compassionate God created a partner for man who would fully understand him, who could share his life with her, and know intimacy with each other in order to know how much God loved them. They in time would come to know that intimacy with God was possible and desired and would unlock the key to paradise and God s relationship with all of humankind.
