Interim Ministry Transition Team Co-Chairpersons: We present the Rev. Arlyce Schiebout, who has been appointed to serve with us here in Interim Ministry. We invite you to affirm her appointment to a ministry of Word, Sacrament, and Pastoral Care in this place. Rev. Arlyce, you are here by the action of Four Rivers Presbytery and the Bay of Quinte Conference. We come together to mark a new relationship between you, the Presbytery and this Pastoral Charge. May the God who has given us the will to do these things give us the power and grace to perform them. Covenanting Action Statement of this New Ministry (Rev. Arlyce Schiebout comes forward at the invitation of Presider, Ms Susan Hutton.) Rev Arlyce, you are about to undertake an Interim Ministry of Word, Sacrament, and Pastoral Care in this place. You, the members of Smiths Falls: Trinity Pastoral Charge, are called to join Rev. Arlyce in worship, study, prayer and action. We, the Presbytery, will be responsible for the oversight of this ministry. Let us ask for God s grace upon all of us as we covenant together this day. Let us pray: Almighty God, by our baptism you have called us to Christ s ministry; pour out your Holy Spirit upon us as we commit ourselves to work together in Christ s name. Promises of the New Minister Rev. Arlyce, do you, in the presence of this congregation, commit yourself to this new trust and responsibility? I do, God being my helper.
