Preparation for Sacraments: We have planned meetings of parents whose children are preparing to receive sacraments during the present school year. Both meetings will take place in the Community Centre, Kildysart and will be led by Mr Maurice Harmon. The meeting for the parents of children preparing for First Holy Communion will take place at 7.15 on Tues, 9 Oct. The meeting for parents of children preparing for Confirmation will take place at 8.30 on Tues, 9 Oct. The Missionary Society of St Columban are celebrating the centenary of their foundation in 2018. The Munster celebration of the centenary will take place in Kildysart on Sunday, 14th October. Bishop Monahan will celebrate Mass in St Michael s Church, at 10.30am. A combined choir from our pastoral area will sing at this Mass. A plaque will be unveiled in memory of Bishop Patrick Cleary and other Columban missionaries. Refreshments after Mass in the Community Centre. We would greatly appreciate if you could donate baking for reception.
