RSVP on the Facebook event: bit.ly/madisonyajuly31 Calling Worship Leaders and Former Choir Members Brother James Abney asks that you consider coming out to join the choir for their concert on Sunday evening, August 24th. Choir rehearsals are 7-9 pm Thursdays at the Square campus, and If you can make it for 4 rehearsals before the concert, that will be enough. Photos Needed As we prepare for our 100+ birthday, we would like to create a wall of memories in our church lobby. Pittsburgh Project Please pray for the 26 teens and leaders from Madison who are serving at the Pittsburgh Project as they provide home repairs and share the gospel in word and deed. No High School Bible Study on Monday July 28 as many of our teens are on the trip. Cedar Point On Tuesday, August 12, the Youth Ministry is hosting a family trip to Cedar Point. All are welcome to attend, but you must be 13 or older to attend without an adult, and seats are available on a first-come first-served basis. The cost is $75 per person. We will leave the Madison Place parking lot at 5:30am to go to Cedar Point on a charter bus, and return around midnight. All money must be turned in to the church office by August 5. We will meet Friday, August 8 at 6:30pm at Madison Place. We will have an extended time of fellowship and praying for each other. Summer Family Nights Over the last two weeks, people have been catching the fire for Summer Family Nights. We ve never been blessed by so many volunteers or participants in one season. Thank you all for serving. We're expecting even more new kids, teens, and adults from all over town. Summer Nights happens on Wednesdays through August 13. Grab a brochure from the Welcome Center for details. Pastor Darrell Pastor Darrell began his new role as Campus Pastor on July 1. For the next few months Pastor Darrell will take regular preaching turns and learn his new role as Campus Pastor through orientation meetings with staff and lay leaders. Pastor Darrell will also take immediate responsibility for leading and assisting on Sunday mornings. As part of his ordination process, Darrell will preach his classical sermon today and then will be examined before classis on August 28. Other responsibilities include Pastoral Care and supervision of staff. Providence Baptist Delegation General Information Seven brothers and sisters from Providence Baptist, our sister church in Liberia, are visiting until August 4. Help us build strong ties with them. Madison, as a whole, is a multisite church and I serve as Campus Pastor for the body of Christ that meets at the Gerald R. Ford Academic Center. We re called to listen and serve the needs of the school, community, and church body. My passion is to fan into flame gifts-based and team-based ministry and evangelism! In 2012, I was commissioned as a preaching apprentice under the leadership of Pastor Brad and Pastor David Beelen, Madison s Senior Pastor. I am passionate about sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing hope to the lost and hurting. I consider it an honor to do that as a preaching apprentice at the Ford Campus.
