Parish News Congratulations to all our beautiful children who graduated from Greek School and Sunday School last month. We also wish all our high school and college graduates good luck and best wishes for future success. Thank you to all the volunteers of our Youth programs! Please note that our Summer Hours are already in effect. Orthros starts at 8:00 am and Divine Liturgy begins at 9:15 am. Remember, summer is not a time to take vacation away from God. Please try to attend church regularly. Parish Council The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Monday, August 8 th at 7:30 PM. Parish Priest Fr. Gregory would like to wish everyone a blessed summer vacation. He will be gone from July 4 th to July 23 rd. While he is gone, please call the Church office 603-623-2045; if it is urgent, please call our Parish Council President, Jim Folopoulos 603-540-5424. Philoptochos News We are accepting donations for the purchase of the flowers that will adorn the icon of Panagia and the iconostasis for the upcoming Paraklesis (Supplication) services, and the Great Vespers & Divine Liturgy for the feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary (August 1-15). Please give your donation to any Philoptochos Board member. We will host the reception following the Great Vespers to be held on August 14 for the Feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, and hope to see everyone there. Lucie Skouteris President 4

New Horizons Soup Kitchen New Horizons Soup Kitchen is Sunday, July 17 th, 4-6 PM. We are always looking for volunteers to join our group and help us serve food to the needy. This ministry is a very rewarding experience! Please join us for less than two hours of fellowship with the group from the Assumption Church. If you have any questions, call the church office at 603-623-2045. Thank you! Choir Our choir is on vacation the month of July. Starting August however, we are calling all parishioners to join our talented choir. All ages are welcome. All that is required is your passion and love for our church! Youth Ministry News Thank you again to our Youth advisors and to all our volunteers who helped make this year a success for our children! Our Youth Ministry events require a lot of planning and effort. We are all proud of you for a job well done! Blessings to all our children and families! GREEKFEST 2016 CALLING ALL PARISHONERS!!! Our 2016 GreekFest will be held on Saturday August 27 th and Sunday August 28 th. Festival hours: Saturday 11am to 10 pm; Sunday 11 am-7 pm. Putting this event together is a massive undertaking requiring 100 volunteers each hour the festival is open! This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we need your help! Many of you have worked for years to make this event a success. But, we need more help, new blood and young people to renew our energies. Please don t be shy! We welcome your assistance, ideas and time. The following are specific needs we have at the moment. Please call if you can help in any way or know a source for us to pursue. Right now we are in need of: Donations of all kinds including: monetary, supplies, food, beverage supplies. For any of these please contact Costa Georgopoulos at 603-512-8314, or the Church Office Donations of money and/or prizes for the Penny Sale Table Help with the Youth Booth - Kid's Corner. Come by and help out with the children s craft table and other fun things we have planned. We need volunteers to help set up on Thursday and Friday prior to Greekfest, plus all weekend during the festival, and on Sunday evening with clean up. All families are welcome! Sounds like a lot of work and it certainly is, but the more help we have, the fewer hours each one of us needs to work! This is a great way to meet new people! BUSINESS CARD ADVERTISING Anyone with a business that would like to advertise in our monthly bulletin, please contact the Church office. A business card format, about 2 ½ x 1 ½ will run for a period of 12 months for one set fee of $150.00 a year. This will help to defray the ever-increasing costs of printing and mailing these bulletins to our homes as well as advertising your business to our parishioners and through word of mouth, to their friends.
